Dele Alli

Sorry if there's any confusion over my post, alli was wrong, no ifs no buts no maybes.
In fact I would hope that Poch gives him a good talking to at the very least. If I was the manager I wouldn't stand for that.
If he wants to get his own back use his talent, if he had put as much effort into winning the game as chasing after a player to get even maybe we wouldn't be 7 points behind. That sounds incredibly harsh, but it's also a fair point.

It does highlight a wider issue though, there's been several other similar incidents picked up in MOTD or MNF with no punishment, so why is this one different? I don't for one minute think that's it just because it's Spurs, but there needs to be rule consistently applied. All the furoe over moss in the Leicester game was because he was inconsistent. Not making it Spurs and Leicester and sour grapes, it's just those are the games I've seen and can remember.
If this carries on teams will be submitting videos every week trying get players banned. A rule and a system either to be made and applied or not.

I stick by the hodgson comment though.

First off, in reply to both Jurgen and Milo (Dubai also made similar), very fair comments guys and I would have to concede absolutely on the money. The comparison with Kane is fair, as I think Hazza can have word. Of course, we should remember that Kane (a) had countless loan spells to toughen him to such treatment and (b) seems an absolute anomaly in so much as he gets loads of physical but is as cool as ice - helps him elevate to world class.

To your point I bolded above Glasgow, again, absolutely agreed. If we had place a sole feed on Olsen last night, he'd be banned too. There has to be some order, because but for US TV, this would not have been seen.

He's a marked now, this is the second, third time he's done this. So you can bet the officials are watching for it and it's in any pre match team talk for the opposition, how do you stop alli? Noise him up, he will either get booked or follow you looking for revenge and then get booked.
Hopefully he'll learn the only way to win these battles is with the ball. Do you really think Olsen, Adam, cattermole ir Huth give a fudge if you kick them? I doubt it, but nutmeg them before sticking one in the bag and they'll hurt like fudge.
He has the talent to do it, just needs to use it, channel his aggression. The greats, the real greats got kicked all the time, what made them great was that they picked themselves up and played better.

He will do all of that IMO.

Or he'll nutmeg you until you flip out.

The only reason the incident was seen is because a special camera was place on Alli after US feed saw Yacob baiting him (mention as specifically made). The feed would not have been there were it not for the provocation in the first place. Media-created trial. Nothing to do with conspiracy, a solid fact. If we are to start retroactively punishing players for things seen on special feeds, then I wonder how long before a club has two specific cameramen targeting 'potential' opposition troublemakers' in the hope of 'finding something'

I still think there's something here for us to control what gets broadcast. Its at our ground and surely we can control how many cameras there are, where they are placed and restrict the "creative licence" that foreign TV feeds have the right to? I'd certainly be investigating it if I was the club.

I don't really see how anyone can argue with Alli getting charged for this. He threw a punch, whether he was provoked is another matter and other teams' players not getting punished for different offences is irrelevant.

The paranoia of some people on here is getting pretty embarrassing and we would be ripping the tinkle if fans of another club were carrying on like this.

Could not agree more with this, some should take their blue tinted glasses off and accept that what Alii did/does has to be taken out of his game. Aggresion is fine but there have been a couple of occasions this season ( kicking that guy in the stomach in the EL, and there was a kick out in another game which escapes me at the moment) which he got away with plus the times he has got booked.

He is a very good player ( who could turn out to be one of our best ever) but he has to learn to control himself because if not it will not be the only time he will miss games because of these things. I have no doubt that Pullis said before the game to wind him up because he will over react and that is excately what happened, if he carries on in the same way a lot of other managers will do the same thing.

Here's how you do it (and I used to do it a lot without getting caught when someone wound me up): player is behind you heading towards you, you turn slightly and hold your ground, tensing to absorb the hit and jar the player more, while also slightly edging your shoulder so the player takes the full brunt of it. Oops, sorry, didn't realize you were behind me. Would have gone under the radar and no replay of it would have ever been shown.

Swinging like he did was downright stupid. He'll learn. The Force is strong with this one.

Or lift your knee jumping for a corner.

So it depends how the team will react and play these three tough games to secure CL. Auto qualifying to boot. Chadders on the left of Kane, Eriksen on the right up front.
