Love that compilation video. He’s given us so many great moments over the years. Clear that he has lost His way and a change is probably best for everyone.
Lo Celso has done more in the time since he's been here. Dele heyday was quite a significant time ago. We could arguably do better than both tbh.Selling/loaning Dele while keeping Lo Celso would seem a strange thing to do to me.

Given that GLC played for some portion as an orthodox CM and reasonably well I don't think you can't just compare goal and assist stats. That doesn't tell his whole story. If I combine his midfield performances then yes I do think he's been better than Dele since he arrived. In the 19/20 season alone Dele was more productive (9 goals, 5 assists) than GLC has been here over his entire spell at the club (4 goals 3 assists) so i would disagree quite strongly with your opening line there.
Even in his last 2 season which has barely seen him involved for any meaningful amount of time, he has managed to contribute at a better rate than GLC (3 goals and 5 assists)

But Lo Celso hasn't really done anything of note as a CM either for us - certainly never made the position his own, just filled in at best, does that match up to an attacking player scoring/assisting to a decent to good level over a PL season? (of course not)

Lo Celso has mainly been injured and when not injured has slowly trundled around the pitch while having no real impact on the game.Lo Celso has done more in the time since he's been here. Dele heyday was quite a significant time ago. We could arguably do better than both tbh.

Poch was our best manager this millennium there is no doubt. But fuk me his transfers at the end were woeful. How much of our recent malaise is due to us blowing hundreds of millions on Ndombele, LeCelco, Sessegnon, and Clake. With wages factored in, it must be the best part of a £200m outlay?
Probably cost as much to buy as Ndombeles agent fees. There were a heap of failures, but that's not solely down to Poch.
- Stambouli
- N'Jie
- Fazio
- Nkoudou

I think the bolded bit somewhat underestimates the fundamental impact Poch made not only to our squad, but also to the overall club culture and playing style. He inherited and got rid of a lot of underperforming/disruptive players as well as some that were not up to the required level.Nothing is solely down to the manager
But w did spend a lot under Poch yet ultimately he had most of his team here already. What he did was coach the players he inherited and let them grow

As to players in, for sure some fell short, but you are always going to get this and anyway most of those were not big money buys. However he also acquired some who became notable successes, eg Alderweireld, Dier (when he switched to DM), Wanyama, Son.

Which is why we’d be better off keeping Dele and selling Lo Celso (assuming we could find a club that would want him).Alli has contributed more to us over his career than Lo Celso but neither have been effective for a very long time. Alli doesn’t have injury problems like GLC does so he has that in his favour but he just hasn’t progressed in any aspect of his game. He’s essentially a workhorse like James Milner but doesn’t take penalties.
