Dele Alli

The fact that he made his league début in a North London derby when there were more experienced players available is an apt counter argument

Having been a key player all pre season before getting injured suggests to me it was always the plan to play him as one of our CMs. Showing he was fully fit in the Forest game just made the choice easier.

Pochettino said: “Ryan is a big talent. It was difficult the last two or three seasons for him. He got different injuries and played in different clubs and was always on loan.

“But when we started pre-season, we felt something special from him, so we waited for the moment that he was ready to play and we gave him the chance.

“He is 23, but he is young and has never had the possibility to show his talent here.

“Now, he deserves it. He worked hard in pre-season and now it’s important for him to use this opportunity to stay in the Premier League and in the squad.”

Alli will find a role if he is good enough and I'm sure he will be

Grimsby would slate Mason if he scored a perfect hat trick and that's his opinion

Alli though should be given more of a Chance as he is direct and plays quick passes

Him with Dembele and Mason (plus bentelab of course) with better options behind Kane Paul's work well IMO

Cheap. I wouldn't. I hate these derogatory cheap comments as a weak way to demean someone's opinion. Rather than taking that opinion or thinking it's genuinely what I believe, no, can't be right because it's now what you think. So I must have an agenda and even if he came good I'd slate him....

Hard for some to admit, but I just think mason is a bad premiership footballer, and no one can give a convincing argument on any level as to why he is actually any good other than - good energy, good passion. It was his first season so will get better....

Your so critical of him sometimes I wonder if you watch the game but my comment was meant partly tongue in cheek

As I say it's your opinion and I've defended your right to an opinion plenty of times even though I don't always agree with it

I promise, I will gladly hold my hands up if mason comes good. Gladly. If he gets assists and goals to his game, if he tidies up his passing, I will be delighted.

No really answering the question but hey ho

significant amount of exposure to the league mirrored by significant tangible returns in either team points or personal performance...and or significant progression in development

that rules out for me half a season..but my back will start to wane after a full season.........going into the second season with little to nothing to show for it, then you dont have my undisputed backing

going into a pain staking 3rd year with little to nothing to show for your time here? against what should be considered mediocre or poor opposition in comparison with the kind of team that we are striving to be? then you need to earn back my undisputed backing and defense i would imagine....and then upon reflection at that point i would say that my backing probably SHOULD have gone 2/3 rds of the way into the 2nd year where i saw little to nothing of the forecasted talent that made me shell out 30 million based on one good year in a brick league

I thought mason played very well until we moved him on to the right.

i think mason is a tidy player but needs to be able to dictate play if he wants to guarentee his spot in my opinion. He clearly lacks something.

Technically he is a good player, someone just needs to sit him down and mentally coach him.

I hope he gets decent game time to develop, but it's wrong to expect everything from him with just one year under his belt
