Dejan Kulusevski

I think we have some really dumb players
Players who still can’t manage simple passes
Players who can only move in one direction
Defenders who can’t head a ball or ones who literally leave their man
Sonny’s issue is physical. He doesn’t have the skill set to play a a winger and he has lost the hard of pace he needs to be that wide forward. You can say it’s all about his position but just look at how weak his shooting is… that’s a physical demise
I think the players we have are ok. Instead they are suffering from trying to play into anges system which is too predictable. Somehow we have assembled a squad of compliant players and I believe they will all massively improve under a better coach.

I see nothing that makes me think our senior players at least, have a footballing brain cell between them

Who are you defining as senior players? If you mean Sonny, Romero and Richarlison, then yes. Possibly Madison too, but I think he's shown footballing intelligence in the past. Bentancur and Bissouma have proved disappointing on that front as well. Vicario?

I wouldn't count Deki in that group though - while he hasn't shown the ability to run a game that I'd hoped for, I think he is an intelligent footballer.

And our youngsters are definitely showing promise. That's the one saving grace of those season IMHO.

You have named them
And I agree, Deki isn’t in that group

i see them in the internationals and their eyes light up and all of them look better playing for country.

angeball has become braindeadball for the players. ange himself said he's got only one way win or lose. just watch all the players come back to life when the new coach comes

I’m glad someone watches all these players play these internationals because I don’t
I barely watch England TBF as the standards so low now in international football
I wonder if their eyes light up because they are back in their homelands or because they are playing inferior opposition maybe

its all of the above. and none of the dreary angeball

We don’t get to play the level of team story do at international level… the prem is much harder

International "level" means nothing though. It's quite a wide spectrum from top to bottom. You have everything from pointless friendlies against second rate nations all the way to the games like Eng vs Fra. Those two elevens would easily grace the PL.

Nah, I don't think it's highest level but do think that the players see it as incredibly important, if not the pinnacle. Certainly, those south american players see winning the WC as the ultimate. I do think we over rate the PL entertainment. It can be dull as ditchwater but as soon as we have one boring international game, you see the complete double standard. GHod forbid anyone slates the PL.

My theory is still that until the officials start following the laws of the game, football will be less entertaining than it should be. The dark arts are winning over the skill and it would be so easy to make it incredibly entertaining again. Other problem is Sky think they're the product and not the 22 players, the ball and the 2 goalposts. They don't even show the skill at half time or full time anymore. They just talk about VAR.

Players are it’s a hugely important, I fully agree
But that doesn’t reflect the quality
And on the PL I’m not talking entertainment I’m talking quality and ability. You can pick and chose the best basically which you can’t for then country
