Dejan Kulusevski

I thought bedfordspurs was referring to an incident in the box where the Wolves CB pushed Kulu in the back (was it Kulu or Solanke? I forgot). That to me was a penalty.

That also happened in the Liverpool match, Trent shoved Johnson over, but as it was right in the corner of the box by the goal line and the Spurs player was heading out of the box, the ref deems it as "he wasn't about to score or anything, so it's fine, crack on and push him as hard as you like, it's only Spurs"

He’s so frustrating to watch, if he is playing 10 he needs to be in their linking it up with quick passes thats where his best performances have been. At the moment he is running down blind alleys, trying to fall into people to get a lucky flick to turn and inevitably loses it.

He is so frustrating as when he plays it quick and simple he is superb but the frustrating Kulu turns up far too regularly. If he is knackered surely doing less with the ball and not trying to have a wrestling match with everyone may help a little.

yep he is a messy dribbler with lots of fast contact with the ball and plays the percentages. 40% in a foot melee he sometime comes out with the clear and looks like a genius, 60% of the time he loses possession from a deflection on the opponent's shin.

that's his strength though - creating chaos. top coaches build tactics around players like this e.g. arteta sets up his teams so that martinelli and saka can get into 1v1 positions with space to attack, otherwise drag out two players and square it for another attack. its clearly something on the training ground that can help get the best of kulu.

It's not that easy to just change how you play because you're knackered. It's an ingrained way of playing over years, decisions being automated and basically instinct.

He is frustrated at times, and particularly when exhausted. The solution to that is having other options.

He's been our best player this season overall. He's absolutely run himself into the ground for us imo. He's allowed some poor spells when running on fumes when the options on the bench aren't there.

A Kulu that’s not broken is exceptional
A tired and fatigued Kulu isn’t the same player (shock horror)
The issue is we need him much more than we should and that’s for Ange to work out some options on
What i did see last night was a younger player (not that a Kulu is old) step up and help him countryman

Spot on, he looks exhausted and its no wonder really. My player for the season so far.

Been out shining lights and one of the players of the season. Centrally he makes things happen more IMO, on the wing he does tend to keep hold too much BUT I would caveat that with a lack of intelligent runs around him at times.

He has been superb this season a real highlight for me

He is a top top player
But he is also so tired I think

Imo shouldn't be in the match day squad against Tamworth. Or travel to watch the game. Or watch it on TV. Or read live updates.

Just rest and recovery.
100%
I know we have a bad bad history of playing weakened sides and struggling but we should be saving every player we can right now

I really enjoyed his 'day in the life' video above because it shows he also uses the hyperbaric chambers / pool / ice bath like Sonny did, and Johnson and Madders, and he also had some individual attention on his training methods, stretches, upper body workout etc, which is reassuring.

Else all we see is those group warm-up videos wherein the exercising in groups looks a bit mid.
