Will watch it again but it looked a very dangerous swing of the elbow and he had his back to the Brighton player so didn't know where it would land. It was stupid.
It was dangerous. He shouldn't have done it and it deserved a booking. The angle of the camera makes it look a bit worse than it was though.

First time he’s really had no impact on a game. Still not sure what would him up so much to make him lash out like that. We used to worry about players from other leagues doing it on a wet and windy night in Stoke, but based on yesterday both our Italian imports struggle with a sunny afternoon in North London!
If there is a lack of service to him I figure games he may need to drop a bit deeper to get more involved. Still think it would have been worth switching him with Son for a few minutes to give the full backs a different question to answer. It was a collectively lethargic performance yesterday so not making them individually responsible, but I think it highlighted the difference him and Bentancur have made as when you looked across the team yesterday there was no one who can really progress play and we were just hoping for Kane or Son to pop up with some magic.
