I'm not sure. He looks like he's improved after his loan at Sunderland and although Trippier has good delivery he's looked shaky in defence.
Janmaat to West Ham is the word on the street. I think he (Janmaat) is a crap player so I've no problem at all with that.Miles Starforth@milesstarforth
Understand DeAndre Yedlin is due on Tyneside today or tomorrow to complete a move to Saudi Sportswashing Machine. #Saudi Sportswashing Machine #thfc #safc
Also reports Janmaat is saying he is leaving imminently so would fit.
£5m for Yedlin and £10m for Mason.....is it xmas?!?!?!?
It does go to show how signing talented young players from countries that aren't considered to be football super powers is a good option financially. I think we paid around £2 million for Yedlin, probably got at least half of that back from Sunderland as a loan fee and will now bring in another £5 million from Saudi Sportswashing Machine.
Never really got to see this guy in action bar the odd match for Sunderland, and he was decent enough then. Anyway good luck to him. He'll do OK there and is better than Janmaat in IMOTottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial 20s20 seconds ago
We've reached agreement with Saudi Sportswashing Machine for the transfer of DeAndre Yedlin. We wish him all the best for the future.
Is that one of the factors in signing a young player like him? Blimey what a great way to keep the agents in the money. It does go to show how signing talented young players from countries that aren't considered to be football super powers is a good option financially. Um, which bit? Which factor? We bought him for 2 and got 1+5 in return... this is good.Is that one of the factors in signing a young player like him? Blimey what a great way to keep the agents in the money.
And he got top level training experience, the MLS got exposure, we got US exposure, he got the chance to be good enough for the PL and now has a career shot in the Championship at a good sized clubUm, which bit? Which factor? We bought him for 2 and got 1+5 in return... this is good.
Good for the bank balance granted but we never gave him a chance to perform. Makes me wonder what our scouts saw in him - how could they get it so wrong? Or are we just bringing in players to move them on for a profit? Risky strategy I would say.Um, which bit? Which factor? We bought him for 2 and got 1+5 in return... this is good.
Did he bring the MLS any additional exposure that the likes of Lampard, Gerrard have already done? As for us getting US exposure, he was hardly in a Spurs shirt so I'm not sure. Certainly no more exposure than Brad or Dempsey gave us? I stand to be corrected of course. And he got top level training experience, the MLS got exposure, we got US exposure, he got the chance to be good enough for the PL and now has a career shot in the Championship at a good sized club
Wins all around
Every little helps.Did he bring the MLS any additional exposure that the likes of Lampard, Gerrard have already done? As for us getting US exposure, he was hardly in a Spurs shirt so I'm not sure. Certainly no more exposure than Brad or Dempsey gave us? I stand to be corrected of course.
Fair comment mate but I am just confused about signing a player who is not then given a chance before being moved on.Every little helps.
And trying to help develop young US talent - they love that. The old players are just show pieces, the real MLS fans will like being treated like a serious league
