Davinson Sanchez

He would have got a touch on the ball if Lloris hadn't come knocking him out of position and flapping about in his face.
He was excellent throughout the game. I can't remember any other CB being able to keep up with Hazard when he turns and puts the afterburner on, but Davinson didn't give him an inch!
Do you think? I thought Morata outjumped him and why I didn’t blame Lloris too much because we would have conceded if he’d stayed on his line anyway. Maybe I got that wrong....

We are not to know that. He could have put davinson off slightly, blocked a clear view of the ball, or expected to win the ball etc.

Lloris gambled and lost, Morata gambled and it paid off

Yes. If you look at the replays, Lloris knocks into Davinson, which makes his jump obstructed and his head dip, thus miss the ball. I'm pretty confident he would have got enough contact to make it difficult for Morata.

If your the keeper and you come for it... it’s always your fault IMO

It’s why you never see De Gea come for anything as he stays on his line and goes for the save

I think any ball across like that the keeper should come and catch, any other outcome and they have fudged it up.

It looked to me like Davidson ducked because he thought Lloris would punch it (and his head if he'd gone for it). We'll never know if he could have got something on it, but Morata looked favourite to get there first IMO.

Just looked to me like Morata had the run on Sanchez regardless and if Lloris hadn’t of come they still would have scored but who knows....

The part about Lloris and Sanchez is nonsense. Look at the replay, the ball is over Sanchez’s head by about 18 inches - he wouldn’t have got there whether Lloris was there or not.

That apart, and one miscued clearance, Sanchez was very, very good again.

Lloris doesn’t knock Sanchez.

It’s just s really good cross that neither the keeper or CB could get to.

Morata’s also at least a yard behind Sanchez so the ball is dropping toward him.

If Lloris didn’t come out, that doesn’t change Sanchez’s position to be touch-tight and in contact with Morata.
