Very off topic but personally I wouldnt have Lamela in my starting 11 as I'd play 3-5-2 with Dele and Eriksen behind Kane

Honestly you are drawing a line in the sand post fact (20M today vs. 5 years ago is very different)

- Modric was one of our most expensive buys at the time, didn't turnout so bad
- As someone else mentioned, Son also wasn't cheap

- Lamela & Janssen will both probably recoup their cost in this market if we sell.
 
Overmars just on Dutch TV saying still in talks, no definitive yes, it is still hinging on the fee. Only one club in negotiations with them though...

Sanchez isn't playing tonight though.

If I was Levy, I'd arrange for a secret fitness test/contract signing at a remote, locked up mansion in a random european country, and fly Sanchez there in my private jet.

Sanchez is not involved in the match tonight either, so he's definitely moving somewhere.

Watching Ajax vs Rosenborg now, and 10 minutes in and De Ligt looks different class! Looks to be an Alderweireld in the making. Making Bendtner look like an under 15 player. Maybe we should have gone for him instead. Can hit a pass as well.

Him and their young CF were the ones which I'd always heard spoken about. Maybe go back for them next year!

Makes me feel queasy about 40m for such a young player with no experience of the premiership.
