Daniel Levy - Chairman

Not sure some of the points you raise are correct, both clubs are self sustaining . The Woolwich are back in Champions League and are maintaining high league positions which is bringing far more prize money in.
e.g. last seasons PL prize money Woolwich made £171.5 million, Spurs £127.8 million, add to that prize money from a CL semi finish for The Woolwich which earns far more than winning the Europa , add that prize money to revenue from home CL matches at full prices as opposed to our home EL matches at reduced ticket prices they probably have at least £100 million or more in revenue to spend.
But are paying that out in wages

Sure mate, but they haven't spent 100m - they've spent close to 300m and counting, and have also been spending prodigiously since well before their return to the CL.

They've been consistently heavy spenders since 2020, and it's pretty widely acknowledged that a significant chunk of that is owner funding.
Had to be because of previous years lack of income and no sales

Fair enough mate - I just noticed she was next to Levy the Burnley game and Ally Gold had an article highlighting it, so I figured maybe it presaged a change. If not, then on we go as we always have done. :)
She's been to games plenty of times and is a football fan. She was also engaged to Craig Johnstone for 15 - 20 years so probably has some knowledge about the game. If she is taking more of a role it would hopefully be for the better due to her having an interest as versus Lewis having zero interest outside of it as an asset and Levy increasing it's worth.

Do they even have slightest idea of what exactly the club did or didn't do and whose fault it was or are they just going by some rumors on the internet and filling in the blanks to suit their preconceived ideas? No answer required.
It’s fudging mental stuff.

Protesting because we didn’t sign Eze? fudge me. Are football fans that sensitive now? I wonder how many players we missed out on in the 70s, 80s and 90s that we didn’t know about because the media didn’t make an industry of the transfer market.

Heard one of their spokesmen say they got a lot of angry communications from fans after the 0-4 v Munich. I seriously had to stop myself from laughing or crying. Who in the name of fudge gets that upset about a pre season friendly?

There is a sizeable amount of football fans, many of whom are in our fanbase, who really have lost all reason, perspective and maturity when it comes to their club. If anything could turn me off football, it’s not the “high” ticket prices, it’s not the fact we aren’t winning trophies hand over fist (like we ever did really) - it’s the self entitled drama queens who overreact to everything to do with their club.

True at the moment but go back to financial results for 2023 , Spurs wage bill £251.1 million , Woolwich 225.4 million, Spurs need Champions League football to be able to keep up and the best route for that is top 4/5 in the PL which every club is striving for.
Not disagreeing
But their wage bill has got massively higher and they are not nearer to winning things
When you talk about that £100m delta it’s swallowed up with wages they are paying
Rumour is they are now paying Trossard £220k a week …. Scary

In recent years I've started to think we have one of the worst fan bases around. So many who do nothing but brick on their club and revel in misery. I generally try to avoid discussing Spurs with other fans I meet as there's nothing to gain from it. It always ends up with them talking about everything that's wrong at the club .

ARS 997 TOT 930 gross spend since 20/21 season when Arteta joined
ARS 718 TOT 632 net spend

Look at net 311 LIV and 198 MNC though!

Selling is the key, rather than buying
How pool have got so much money for their kids I’ll never know
They just got £60m for quansah and the lad they sold to Bournemouth
Scary scary money
It’s almost at Chelsea levels if it wasn’t for the fact they are selling to different leagues

Oh we have many many fans who are only spurs because they love to moan
Trust me… I know many like that
Too many

These people basically live their lives permanently online, and as is often the case the spaces in which people do that become echo chambers - once you're in that environment it's a slippery slope.

Mirrors quite closely the way politics is going these days - not drawing a line between people who Levy out with right wing political beliefs but the way people get sucked in to extreme opinions/expressing their opinions in an extreme manner online when they surround themselves with people who share the same view is eerily similar

In terms of self loathing, our fanbase is by far the worst, its monumental.

This is an echo chamber. A left wing urban fudging miserablist echo chamber.

Not read anything in this thread for ages but the one thing that strikes me is the press have this narrative, call it "sexy" whatever, and it's click bait. Evidence BBC headline,"'Reeking of desperation?' - who could Spurs turn to next?" further down "If he's a Gooner we don't want him. Simple." The former fits their narrative and click count, the latter speaks for the vast majority of us.
What really boils my p!ss is all these cvnts who feed into that press narrative. If you think we're one the big 6, 5, 4 (whatever?) and should be acting and spending as such, why don't you fvck off and spend a weekend at one of the grounds, with the supporters of one of the 82 "lesser" clubs, and wake up to the reality of what being a "supporter" of your club means!?!? Don't fvck up my weekend with me mates

I am constantly having to battle the Levy out guys, the majority of them cannot put a solid argument together as they are just jumping on the bandwagon. I am by no means a Levy supporter but i am finding myself sticking up for him almost every time i speak to people about Tottenham. Its getting absolutely ridiculous and we are living up to the title of the most entitled fan base in the country.

I am now dreading being in the stands on Saturday as I know it will all be about 'Levy Out' rather than supporting the team.
Now, everyone has the right to their opinion, (and I'm not especially 'Levy In', I'm just not 'Levy Out', if that makes sense(), but common sense seems to have disappeared altogether.
