I'm tired of discussing this transfer window. Let's just see what happens and support the team in any way we can.
Someone is actually organising a plane for the next home game - I would link but I don't want to give the mug any more publicity

Anyone ever hired one of these banner planes before?
If so, how much would it cost for me to get one that says "He doesn't speak for us" with our badger logo on?

It seems like Levy has got a good excuse not to buy anymore players from now on : the finance of the new stadium ! Remember, how Ar5ena1 was transformed from a league winning team to a team fighting for the 4th place due to their new stadium costs ? Unless a rich businessman take over as chairman, it is going to badly affect our budget for the new players as well.
Have to agree .. Spurs fans are fudgeing deluded (nothing special about footy fans bitching about management) .. about half the chairmen in the league are disliked, at least we don't have planes flying over with get out signs ...
We've been saving/paying for the stadium for 6 years and most people haven't even noticed, as we've maintained our league position.
When it opens in 3 years' time, our debts will be at worse sustainable, but most likely we'll be far better off than we are now.
Our whole focus now seems to be on being ready for 2018. It's why the average age of our team is 23 (peaking teams are considered to average 27/28). In fact Fazio, Dembele and Verts are the only of our outfield players who will have (just) hit 30 by the time the stadium opens.
Trouble is we are divided into 3 at moment
The Skysports lot
Believes all the premierleague gossip and paper talk, clicks on daily mail bait pages and is angry that the owners are not just piling in their OWN money to support OUR dream.
Isnt really concerned about the longer game, and doesnt care where the money is coming from.
The middle lot
Understand the financial constraints, and would be quite happy to become a Chel53a or city and just go on a spending spree.
The "Levy lot"
Realise it isnt about Levy its about living within your means, dont really expect somebody else to pay for our dream.
Would rather have the satisfaction of winning it our way, than become just another glossy clone.
Also realise that being top 5 is an achievement in itself considering where we are in the chain of things
A bit of reality and why i believe that you have to step back
The glory glory years were out glory glory years we didnt dominate english and european football for 10 years
There are 15 teams that have won more league titles than us.
There are 11 teams with a bigger ground than us
Any player who comes to us just as we pay bigger wages is an adebayor, and although my view on him is different i can see why we dont want that type of player.
Therefore in the transfer window, we have to try to get the very best level 3 players without making it about the money, that means sometimes we get guzzumped and sometimes it doesnt work out.
Doesnt mean we should just accept being 2nd best, but it does mean that people need to look at where we have got OURSELVES to.
what a fudgeing macaron
the irony being that the plane will have a bloody good view of the progress the club is making
Hmmm... That's a way outside the level of "Wife doesn't notice it missing" spending - I don't think I'd be keeping my balls for long if she caught me spending £600+ on a fudging banner. The guy is doing it on crowdfunder and set a target of £600 odd
Don't think you'd get the logo on, just letters I'd imagine - I'd chuck in
What a great and completely objective classification... :STrouble is we are divided into 3 at moment

It must be possible to be critical of some of Levy's doings without being categorized as someone who wants him gone. I appreciate a lot of what he's doing for the club, I just feel we would be better off not leaving buisness as late as we did, and prioritize the areas of the squad that we weakened by selling the players we did.
It also seems to me that we have too many people who wants their say in who we bring in. Levy, Poch, Baldini, Mitchell. Who is in charge, and who decides what? I think we waited until it was too lateto add a midfielder because we couldn't decide on who the targets was. The Bender link that suddenly died also supports this, although there's no way of knowing.
I might be wrong, but I'm under the impression that a lot of the same people who said things like "Don't worry, we'll add a midfielder and a striker. There's still plenty of time, relax!" are now saying things like "We added a striker in Son, and we didn't need any midfielders". I'm being very cathegorical, but hopefully you get my point. At least, I can't remember anyone saying the latter before the window closed.
It's easy to produce a statement afterwards and point to everything that was done as part of a strategy. I'm sure it was to some extent, but what I don't believe is the order of priorities. Why would it be one of Poch's main priorities to trim the squad? Why does he care if we have too many players? The can just leave out the players he doesn't want. The manager is and should only be concerned with getting the players he wants and needs. I appreciate that trimming the squad needed to be done, but it was Levy's top priority, not Poch's.
