Reasonable and scara, not two words I expect to see in the same sentence. If a stopped clock can be right twice a day, it' reasonable to expect scara to say something sensible every few months or so.

Wow, you missed it by even more than your chum did! That's an impressive feat.
It doesn't matter how brick you think AVB is or how good I think he is. The point is you can't use the league he's in to judge him.
He's elite because he's elite. The club he's at has no relevance to that.So in a nutshell, regardless of what club or league he manages in he’s an elite manager? Do results matter when it comes to AVB? Or is it just the raspy voice and power point presentations that do it for you?
He's elite because he's elite. The club he's at has no relevance to that.
Not a shred of evidence to back your up either.Only in your mind. Not a shred of evidence or results to back up that claim.
Not a shred of evidence to back your up either.
Mike is an opinion often shared by people who understand the modern game. Yours if regularly shared by those who think football is still the same game it was in the 80s. Make of that what you will.
No, I don't imagine you move in those circles....I don’t know anyone who thinks AVB is an elite coach. He’s not even on Poch’s level and Poch hasn’t won a single trophy.
Elite managers don’t fail at multiple clubs. They manage at big clubs and are successful

They're not comparisons, that's the entire pointRegardless of whether AVB is elite or not, genuinely laughing at the Ronaldo comparisons.
They're not comparisons, that's the entire point
It wasn't a comparison. Then why even bring it up in the first place?
You made a very strange erroneous comment about Ronaldo playing in Italy to compare to AVB managing in France (and Russia before that) as if Ronaldo had to crawl to Italy to get some playing time and didn't manage to cut it in the .
He's played in what would be almost universally considered the two best leagues and been the best player in both. He's won the league and CL at both. Was prised away from the first for a world record fee and then sold for 100 million at the age of 33 still. Still not showing any signs of slowing down. All time goal scorer in the CL.
No point bringing his name into a discussion of a manager who, rightly or wrongly, was fired from his two jobs in an elite league.
It wasn't a comparison.
It was a point to show the stupidity of someone else's "AVB must be brick because he manages in France"
Ronaldo is the perfect choice for that because he's a great example of not being able to judge someone by the league they're in.
You're already applying far more detail and structure to the empty point I was arguing against. Not really. Ronaldo has chosen to play in Italy, still a better league than France, because he's done literally everything possible in Spain and England. He's won it all. He's even won an International trophy.
AVB is currently managing in France because he's not been successful in both of the jobs he's had in an elite league and ended up being fired. I agree that you shouldn't judge someone based just on the league they're in. But I don't think that is what people are doing, they're also judging based on the results while he was in England.
He's still young though so lots of time to turn things around and end up in Spain/England/ Italy/ Germany.
No, I don't imagine you move in those circles....
I'm not using the fact he is managing in a 5th rate league as my evidence that AVB isn't an elite manager. I'm using what I saw with my own eyes when we were unfortunate enough to be managed by him. You've missed the point like Sissoko swinging at a volley.
You can't use his choice of league as a measure of his worth or ability, as the world's best footballer is currently plying his trade in a third rate league. One of the best footballers of our modern era is currently wasting away in China.
AVB turned down PSG and Monaco when he was with us and was heavily linked with Barca in 2013.
Also, he's managing Marseille, the most successful team in France.
