Daniel Levy - Chairman

Whilst RA is throwing money at them they are better off, but he's under no obligation to continue doing so. Should he stop, their huge wage bill would cause them massive problems very quickly - especially with their comparatively small supporter base.

IMHO, they're better off full stop. Their brand has grown enormously under RA, and so has their trophy count. They are in a way better position than when RA came in. In those days we had more trophies than them, and more money in the bank. We also had a bigger fanbase. Now admittedly a lot of Chelsea's fanbase will disappear when they stop winning things, but as it stands they have a bigger global fanbase than us now.

Moreover, where I was brought up in England, there were very few Chelsea fans at my school and in my town. Now lots of youngsters are to be seen wearing Chelsea tops and quite a few old uns have suddenly discovered their Chelsea 'roots'. Some of this will die away, but some of those kids will stay true to their childhood club and some of the old uns have bigged up Chelsea too much now to go back into 'hibernation'.

Damning with faint praise somewhat.

Short of an Abramovich or Mansour, I'd say that there's no question that ENIC have, overall, proved themselves better than any others.

I agree, at least in England just to add a slight caveat. And for me and many fans who don't want our club to become a rich man's plaything they are also better than Abramovich and Mansour.

This discussion has been had many times and people have said that I can't claim that they're the best, because there might be some owners I don't know about that are better somewhere in the world. This is of course true, but I've yet to hear about who that owner might be.

The super wealthy owners willing to blow the annual GDP of Liberia on a football club are fairly new in football and we have very little to go on apart from speculation when it comes to what will happen to a club that is successful under that ownership when the owner decides to call it a day for whatever reason. I don't think there's any basis for saying that they will be just grand when that happens at least.

I'm not saying Chelsea will be just grand. I'm saying they will be better off than when RA saved them, and indeed better off than in any time in their rather pedestrian history before they won the lottery.

I will never forgive him for jol or as much as i hated his football getting rid of graham so close to the semi with arsenal was ****ing stupid.

I respect how he has fun us on a financial level and we would have been in the top 4 a lot more if it was not for the lottery winners. Wish we had not turned our back on the english players we are producing especailly as they are now good enough.

7 out of 10 for me for his term in the job.

Oh get off it Chich...Rose and Townsend have broken in this season, Carroll played midweek, Daws still starts, Lennon too when he's fit...as for getting ride of GGG, fantastic!! I hated every inch of that c**t.

I am happy to send you a photo of the Batman underwear in question incidently...unmodeled, unless you persist, in which case I cannot be held responsible!

If we focused on bringing through youngsters and having an English core Levy would be run out by protesting fans in no time due to our lack of success on the pitch.

Well not by this fan he would not.

I say he is doing an ok job hence my rating of 7 out of 10 but he has made mistakes, getting rid of jol in the way he did showed a serious lack of class, the usual though not this season drama on transfer deadline day was down for drama as much as for getting a cheaper price for the players.

We are lucky that levy's goal is to get the best possible price for the club when it is sold, but even more then any of the big name players like berbatov, carrick, modric or bale he will shaft us when the time comes, it is how he comes accross.

I have it on good authority he was trying very hard to sell us to the americans that ****ed over liverpool, all levy wants is the highest possible price for when tottenham gets sold. To an extent that helps us but it also hurts us at times and could be very bad depending on who he sells us to eventually.

Sorry Chich, but I stopped taking you seriously when you tried to convince us all that Eddie Howe should be Spurs manager.

I said he was one to watch for the future, i still think he is good and he can have a good career if he gets chances at different clubs, did ok at burnley but showed a little bit of a lack of ambition by going back to bournemouth. He is young he can come good still.

Im not bothered about being taken seriously, this is not a serious website it is one people come on to talk to ****e, if people critcise you then you play the victim and cry i have learnt this, does not bother me. A man must respond to the world around him.

Ley has done an average job, some things good some things bad, i do feel having a chairman for so long has given the club some stability, shame he does not give his managers the same privilege.

What are your thoughts now on this?

The same.

Levy is a decent chairman, he runs us quite well in some ways. I worry he is sticking by someone like lennon who if not going to be played should be sold. He will probably do the same with Lamela, the are times quite a few times when his actions cause us to lose money.

I hope that we have a plan and decide to stick with Poch for the long term, to do what is done in other sports where they do not look so closely at results but build over a 2-4 year cycle to turn us into a really good team.

I am confused, how can you accuse him of sticking with Lennon when he has not been given a shirt number. As for Lamela, first and foremost if the manager has not given up on the player then why should the chairman?
