Dane Scarlett

Good for him , hope he develops into something special.. have my doubts about him but he's still young and can step it up

Remember having a debate on here with somebody (can't remember who?) a few years ago who was saying that Scarlett should be playing in the first team and that there was no harm in putting him in, whereas I said that playing youngsters too early can really harm the player's confidence and can sometimes actually end up destroying their career. I think Scarlett playing for us (I think it was under Mourinho) when he was obviously really far from being ready for first team football might've put paid to a promising career. I think It put him back a couple of years at a minimum.

Playing 2 mins at the end of a game isn't going to put him back a couple of years. There's a lot that Mourinho can be criticised for but that is a stretch.

Pleased to see that, hope he gets a chance to develop into the player we had hoped. I suppose this means Lankshear will stay with us, which I think is good for both parties, can't see many teams starting him and better to train with us for a bit longer as he's only just joined in 1st work.

Loans are so important. Especially for goal-scoring players. They need to get into a rhythm of finding the net, and defining themselves. Realistically, for us now, that is only going to be on loan initially.

Really
He played very few minutes
It’s a similar scenario to Kane who made his debut
Then went on loan
