Think it's the same case as devine. Stays till the end of the season (next season for devine). He'll be classed as club trained. Then we can loan him out home or abroad it doesn't matter.
Surely they can play youth games whilst gaining club trained status at the same time
Yes. Don't know why he isn't. I know he's training with the seniors, but bergwijn will come on in front of him. So no reason he can't play 60 mins then sit on the bench for us.

To make things worse his contract expires June 2023, at this moment there is no reason for him to sign a new contract with Spurs.
He's 17 and had 7 appearances for us so far this season. He'll be club trained in the summer so we can loan him out home or abroad.
He'll be 18 this month and we can offer him a professional contract.
Now before brexit. Agents couldn't receive a fee for english players signing contracts u18. So they pushed them to move abroad. Not sure what the work permit situation is in the eu for british players now. If it's the same as the uk's for eu players, that may not be an option.
So this summer we will have a discussion on his future and our plans.

Always a bit difficult and nervous when players under 18 are showing real potential and can't yet sign a professional contract. This is the state of things with these players, will have a lot of options, can only hope the club manages to sell a realistic path into the first team and that we will be the best place for his development.
I think it's too strong to say that there's no reason for him to sign a new contract. At 17 he's regularly training with the first team, getting on the bench and getting occasional minutes on the pitch. I'm sure there's a plan for his future development.
Yeah, this. Let's see what happens when he turns 18. I'm sure discussions have already happened and will continue.
A loan may be the right thing for him and us come the summer. Not a lot of players that go out on loan and succeed at 17,even 18 is still young. But he seems ready for first team football at a decent level.
He went on for about 30 seconds saying how he had a bright future ahead of him.

It’s really good to hear, that’s Jose and now Conte raving about him. Difficult for us as fans to judge on the few appearances he’s had in our European sides which are poor as a whole (see Doherty’s up turn in form once playing with the proper players)

I remember watching Kane miss a penalty in a Europa league match on his debut and I turned to my father who had been round for dinner that he would never make it.
Thought Alton Thelwell was better then King on his debut against Liverpool.
Will just watch and see how the lad does over the years. Starting to have some hope for Parrott now as well.
