Of course there’s a difference between us, I won 34 Tour stages by winning sprints, in the mountains, in time trials and going on the attack on the descents. Let’s not forget the five yellow jerseys I’ve got at home plus the 96 days I wore it. Does that not seem much?

Plenty of Pyrenees in this year's tour.

That day after stage to Libourne looks pretty flat to me?

Yeah it is flat, but not champs elyssee flat. The last 30kms from Cadillac is undulating and there will be a lot of desperate teams and riders attacking for the stage win at that point in the race.

I watched way to much of this brickshow this year. Usually playing in the background on GCN with just the ambient sound.

I look up and see what are these GC idiots doing today?

Pogacar is not even being challenged. The rest of the team have accepted he has won and are marking each other for podium places.

Everyday another team with podium ambition sits on the front and rides for Pogacar.

The only drama is will Cav win on Friday or Sunday.

So I’m watching today.

A big group got away from the peloton, and so there will not be a big bunch sprint. Which is cool as the fireworks will got to the last 25 yards in Paris.

And today’s race is going to be more entertaining as the group start tearing chunks out of each other in desperation to win a stage for their team.
 
You know when you are watching a supposedly serious hollywood movie. When something big, dumb and unbelieveable happens that takes you completely out of the immersion.

That's what a rider winning a time trial, mountain stage and bunch sprint does to this sport.

Yes Cav and his team messed it up but that isn't the story here.

Will he tone it down now? Or will be go and easily do the Olympic Time Trial and Road Race double?

I remember when the Van Aert cyclocross motor in the back wheel video was something to laugh at.

Now I don't know what to believe. Motor or just plain old doping?

The were riders in the tour complaining of hearing strange sounds from certain riders back wheels.
 
Also reading some very sobering things about Pogcar or rather his coach and some of his riders and how they doped in the past. That was on Rolouer magazine.
