Cycling thread

Thought Dan mclay might come through but he is another with mental health issues, which has my upmost respect for.

Quite a lot of cycling books suggest that cyclists are at a high risk of developing mental health issues - which I’m sure you know from having read plenty. The thesis is that the professional sport of road racing tends to attract loners and obsessives.

Haha

Not laughing at the mental health issues but though I have a good circle of friends I enjoy my own company a lot. Also a committed cyclist and have had my fair share of mental health problems.

Does anyone have a indoor spin bike ? I could be in the market for one but obviously they're gonna be pricy so looking for some advice from anyone who has or has looked into.

I have a road bike that I’ve cleaned up for use indoors and I have it on a on a Kinetic smart turbo trainer hooked up to Zwift. It’s a bit more fun than a dumb spin bike and cheaper than a smart one

I use my MTB this time of year primarily because I don’t mind it being a bit muddy, if my road bike gets dirty it gets cleaned straight away, hence I only take it out in the dry.

Also, it’s better for family rides, the bairns aren’t road ready yet and we have plenty of tracks nearby.
