Discovery and Eurosport have the rights for the next 5 years. Discovery is TNT I think
Do they have exclusive rights now then? Eurosport and ITV quite happily both broadcast it live over the years.

Warner/Discovery own TNT (that was BT) and Eurosport is part of the TNT stable.

Dodgy site it is then.
Love listening to Millar and Boulting, the sound of summer to me. Happy to watch it for a few hours in the afternoon then the highlights package in the evening. Used to watch it in the 90s on channel 4, would go round my dad's to watch it together and I often think of him when I watch it now.

Truly the end of an something special.

Remember watching Millar, his battles Pedro Delgardo were epic, his king of the mounts win, and the year he had to retire, due to something with his heart IIRC. Stephen Roach, I watch his win, Miguel Indurain, Laurent Fignon and final time trial on the Champs-Élysées and the line under the Arc de Triomphe.

Magic times

It is said it's one of the greatest races on Earth, along with Le Mans, Indy 500, Dayton 500.

And it's a shame

Different Millar, but yeah remember those times as well. The Lemond 8 second win will go down in history for me.

This is a really stupid move taking it off freeview.

But everything is about money these days.

It's a disgrace that our national sport is not on national TV. F1 as well, that went, now it is more of a drama than a sport. I prefer watching GT3 and the Nordeshleifer 24 hr, that is free on YouTube and all the races are free to watch at any point.

Yeah, unfortunately it won’t be free-to-air at all from the 2026 edition.

I’ve missed him a lot since he stepped aside after the 2022 edition. He’d been winding down for a couple of years before that.
Still does track stuff for bbc.

The whole itv4 team is quality, including daniel ferbie (spelling) real quality sports journalism that is not matched anywhere else.

Hopefully TNT or whatever it is takes them all as someone above said.

Watched the Netflix Cavendish documentary last night.....cycling is equally gruelling as it is exhilarating.

Such an unprovable hypothesis of how things could have turned out for Cav, given the type of person he is, but the comeback and then the cherry on top this year really must give him a sense of completion/closure on a career that, even without that, could only been seen as successful. Not sure that's how it would have computed in Cavs head without this resurrection??
