Perhaps they should have offered that handy advice when making the wager so they wouldn't have lost it, captain hindsight isn't who I'd enlist as a financial advisor as first choice.

I don't claim to be an expert with superior intellect on these matters (the profile pic makes me appear smarter than i am which no doubt prods a few fragile egos), whether it's this or NFTs or whatever the latest nonsense is but what's happened here serves as a pretty good example of something apparently nailed on not being so. If me pointing that out upsets you I apologise.

If you go back all the way through this thread and brought bitcoin and the top few cryptos like ethereum you would be well in profit.

I use roll block for my fantasy football games. I will not edit this post and we will see what my rollblock is worth in a few years time. I have already won a few extra coins in the prediction league.

Much better value then Ladbroke or betfair.

I did buy the top few cryptos, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. Read my posts on the last couple of pages.
I also bought XRP Ripple, which you claimed was about to explode due to some sort of legal approval in the USA.

You also invested a good chunk into USDT which is simply pegged to the dollar! Don't blame people if you not willing to put time and research into something

If you brought bitcoin and ethereum I don't know how you are down.

Ripple has been hampered by the almost illegal action of the SEC which even impartial commentators are bemused by. Hopefully Trump will do as promised and sort that.

If you don't sell your ripple you have not lost money. It's a growing company and I expect it to come good eventually.

Surely the price of bitcoin is proof to be patient. I have left my AIG shares as they are since before the pandemic, patience my friend.
 
Well blow me down, today my graph looks far more exciting, purely because I ticked over into a week since it started, so my ‘day with zero invested’ disappeared.

Ripple is where most of my (limited) crypto investment sits too. It's all very speculative from my side. I don't expect to get rich, but as everyone one else holding crypto I hope for a Bitcoin style skyrocket and a hefty pay day at some point. 😜

Garlinghouse has said that eventually the way they are set up that XRP will increase in value.

Let alone the community can burn coins.
 
XRP has had it's time I reckon, each cycle there's newer shinier stuff that grabs the attention and tends to perform better. It will still go up but I think there's better returns to be had elsewhere.
