So now being named club captain looks like Romero here for another season , amazing how our "poorly" paid players agree to stay at Spurs under the miserly Levy, last year Cuti was being linked to a 70 mill move to Real Madrid.

I wouldn't necessarily conflate enthusiasm and dedication with leadership. In Gray and Tel I see a calmer maturity that they will (and are already) instructing others.
Eze would also be an excellent VC, noting the 'after the transfer window' comment for a scenario like that

Good for him, the obvious choice.
I said if he continues his form from back end of last season especially the Europa League into this season with the same consistency then we could really begin looking at him as being world class. Feels like everything is aligned for him, he is now 27 which is a great age to be hitting for a CB in terms of performance and maturity, won a club trophy, will be back performing in the CL, now our captain and I'd say he's our best player.
Feels like everything is set for him to elevate himself to the really highest level now....
