Coronavirus

So if you have just had your second jab does this mean you are not sufficiently covered till your third or is the third urgency for those who had the 2nd jab so long ago its wearing off?

It's just the antibody drop off, so the former. You wont be allowed one for 3 months I think now anyway.

So if I've had 2 jabs and now got COVID surely my antibodies should be good for a while now
Will be a fair while before I can get my booster

I've still got long covid (i.e. an overactive immune response), which got worse from the original vaccines, so won't think about a booster till those symptoms subside (presuming next winter).

First death recorded WITH omicron. But specifically not OF omicron.

So a motorbiker missed a corner in the rain yesterday, and then tested positive in intensive care, before dying of having a severed head.

Appalling ethics putting brick like that out

Boris is apparently doing another presser at 4.30pm
No doubt the one death WITH Omi will now mean we go full depart and lockdown for Xmas !!1

So my old dear gone to work today as practice manager and they are on notice, vaccinate your entire patient list as a priority no ifs no buts, strictly no other treatments as emergencies only mean call and referral.

So it's selfish to not have your jab but isn't what they are doing is selfish by cancelling pretty much everything else apart from vaccines

Well he does need another distraction to divert attention from all the tests running out and vaccine booking IT system failing. Maybe also to do with everyone having clearly ignored the work from home advice

Im complying in all ways they ask like a good little citizen but I think cometh the hour cometh the hard questions. I've lockdown, lost a job, retrained, got another job, had one jab, took another because it was told a booster was needed, had a third because thats now the norm and I am obeying any change in restrictions. None of which makes me in any way special or going above and beyond but after 2 years of doing all thats ask and following strategies that we are told are bringing us closer to the end of this but then not, I can say Covid fatigue is setting in, the lack of end in sight despite compliance to all these requests is becoming depressing.

apparently takes around four years to come through the other side of a pandemic, so really 'normality' or whatever that version may be won't really be here until 2024

It's called taking back control, apparently.

Yeah, heard a historian on Radio 4 last week saying that any pandemic takes 3 - 4 years to work through.
