Coronavirus

I'm really looking forward to Plan D coming in in a few days. That's the throw the centre back up top for the last 10 minutes one isn't it

Do you know if they got the runs? Had something the other day. Fever lasted a day. Slight cough (although drank some vinegar which cleared my throat). Runs and vomitted a couple of times. Put it down to a noravirus.
Saw a report yesterday that said some people do get the runs with omicron and an upset stomache. Hadn't bothered getting a test and was bit better the next day just aching joints.

No, no runs or vomiting. Most symptoms I’ve heard were fever, very heavy chest and bad cough. The cough would clear up during the day then get really bad through the night again. If it’s Omicrom the good news is everyone suggested it’s like a very bad cold or mild flu (is that a thing?) Although interestingly no-one mentioned loss of taste or smell.

edit: age range from mid-30’s to early 40’s. And some people passed on to their kids but no serious effects.
 
My pcr came back positive having given three negative lateral flow tests in that last ten days.

Given I am in a bubble with some vulnerable people this is very troublesome.
 
I’ve already contacted everyone I have seen (not many) so just really hanging in onto hope it’s not been passed on. I believe I got it from my wife who has not been out apart from a couple of shops last weekend (masked).
I’d prefer to be blamed for messing up plans than pretending all is well. I have absolutely no temperature nor symptoms, tested and did everything I needed to do - I even still have the ping app.

I’d always wondered how people caught this thing and I still have no idea.

I took a PCR this week as the app pinged me, it’s the right thing to do

It's inescapable. My mum left her flat 4 times in 2020 for a tiny walk and only saw my dad. She still got it.

Got my positive confirmation through, didnt tell me what variant I was though
Mrs came back negative
I feel ok but coughing really badly now, eldest is feeling pretty ropey

NHS App has removed my COVID pass already

I believe we are informed if the case is the omicron variant when we get the positive notification.
 
I met up with a couple of friends for lunch today. One is a community health nurse and also volunteers on a Sunday at her local vaccination centre. She was telling us that they get anti-vaxx protestors putting up posters outside, and they put razor blades behind so that when security try to pull them down they get cut - they don’t as they are aware and wear gloves but seriously, wtf? I mean have your own views if you must but that is taking things far, far to the extreme.
