At lot less than it used to be.What's the average life expectancy in a care home? How much life was saved?
Not necessarily. If the most vulnerable have died from covid then life expectancy could have increased.

No chance, who is going to pay for it.
they will shield the care homes/hospitals which they should have done from the start.
100 thousands will die in the UK? Is that Ferguson’s programme again?
The numbers are so high because we went full lock down and didn’t shield.
the good weather is not helping“I don’t want to go back to work and send my kids back to school because it’s dangerous”
Also
“Let’s go to the beach and public places on mass”
Let’s see how many people change their minds if they cut furlough

'the life of furlough' ......
many are finding themselves on easy street....and they like it.
The dole on steroids
I've often found it interesting how things that are seen as generous at their outset can so quickly become taken for granted. The new minimum.
I suspect the government will come to regret it's actions on furlough...
i don't think that's the point being made.I don't think its al to do with furlough, plenty of people working still abusing the rules because ultimately its a choice of stay in or go out, people still have plenty of time at the weekends and bank holidays to do this which is when it seems to be happening.

That's not good for vaccines, I imagine.China reporting that the virus has mutated and the second wave is likely to be more difficult to deal with
After seeing what our eldest kids primary school are doing in terms of measures we're happy for the 11 year old to go back from June 1stApparently the govt will publish the new R rate (from 3 weeks ago) and some new scientific guidance on schools reopening. I've got 2 kids who could return before September. Keen to see the science. I am fortunate enough that I don't need to send them back at all other than the fact I think it would be good for my year 6 son to spend his last few weeks in primary with his friends. Let's see what they say.
