I always feel like Frank has a serious attention to detail in his work. He is sort of a system manager but will happily switch things around for any game to make sure he gets the result. It doesn't always work but that is probably more to do with the resources at his disposal.

I've always felt under Ange we've had a decent philosophy but we've really lacked the attention to detail required to make it work. There's definitely been no "soup to nuts" approach with Ange and his coaches. We often talk about these flaws in the way we see players behave on the pitch.

Now that we've for the big monkey off our backs in winning a trophy, I can definitely see why we'd look at a manager who has very similar traits to Pep, Klopp, Slott, Arteta etc. Some question marks about Frank's philosophy but then I'm sure Pool fans would have said that about Klopp when comparing him to Pep who has played the more attractive brand of football over the years.

Of course, it's not just about Frank. It's about bringing in the 4 or 5 guys that work with him. We would need the entire package if we're making this bold move.

I only watch Brentford twice a year & it's not inspiring is it I find it dull to be honest.

As for having the same traits as pep, klopp & slot I just don't see it but I only see them twice a year. You might be 100% right

He has been at Brentford since 2017 & His biggest achievement is keeping Brentford in the league. that's great for Brentford but we will expect a whole lot more.

If I was going for a premier league manager I would go with Glasner I reckon he's got something about him. No it's not winning a cup I like the way palace play

if Ange is staying or gone I wish they would announce it so we can all move on this is becoming ridiculous

If he is staying then unless he is signing a new contract then there is nothing for them to say. All concerned will know and be continuing on to next season. Not like every club makes an announcement about their manager each season. And there have been question marks over other managers than just Postecoglou.

Agreed but before the season even ended there were questions about his future. He even said himself he had no idea if he was.staying or going.if Tottenham say nothing people will speculate all summer. It only takes a quick Press release to end all the speculation.

I saw Spurs vs Brentford once live and they were like the Spurs team that won the EL cup run. They worked incredibly hard, committed some very clever and destructive professional fouls. They time wasted and they argued every decision. We won, but I had some serious admiration for how they mostly neutralised our player advantage with fantastic organisation. The question will come about whether Frank can do all of that but in a brand of football that is palatable to our club. That will make him as annoying as Klopp !!!

As for Glasner, agree. He seemed to have an immediate impact at Palace and looks to have that organisation and attention to detail that would work with us. He's a lucky man as City should have walked that cup final after a Henderson sending off. He notched up a cup victory that only PGMOL know why it happened. However, Glasner has been mightily impressive in that role. I wouldn't be complaining if he joined us.

I guess you never know until any manager manages your club. Once you get into the detail with them, you feel empowered to provide opinion. That is what is happening after 2 years with Ange. So many data points spinning around everyone's heads.

Saw a comment that sums up how I feel about Thomas Frank: I think he simultaneously raises the floor and lowers the ceiling.
Hire the manager we managed to beat twice last season. I don’t believe what I’m reading tbh. If Paratici has any say we won’t be hiring Frank. I’d keep an eye on how Inzaghi’s situation plays out in the next couple of days.

I hope not they were garbage against PSG he looked lost on the sideline. His biggest input was to take his jacket off. Maybe a bit harsh but they were poor

Didn’t Paratici want Guttuso?

According to your logic we should be talking to Van Nistelrooy then as he has a 100% record against Ange.

Frank wouldn't be my ideal choice but I think he would do a better job than Ange. I'm sure I read they are the lowest spenders in the league with the 2nd lowest wage bill, so he is doing something right.

Will he do a better job than finishing 5th and winning a European trophy in his first two seasons? Pretty impossible standards being set by the club where even that is not good enough.

(GHod I'm going to regret bothering to post this when I get a flurry of replies about the league form since Chelsea last season)

I was going to say anything about that but as you mention it..... ;)

We hired Poch after we beat him twice the seaosn before, under Timmeh as well. #justsaying

I have to admit though, for us getting back into CL via the back-door route hiring Frank would seem a bit underwhelming...
