It's fudging far away from it! We'd been on a 10 year upward trajectory, with half a year/one year decline/below average results.

They've been pretty much on a constant 10 year downward trajectory, with the occasional miracle results, all round bad management from the club etc.

I just meant the “let them spend a load of cash on players they want then sack them anyway” bit.

It's disgraceful. I'm sure we're not much better, but what a perfect example of how little football clubs value their invisible employees.
