That there is. I wonder if all the Eriksen-haters on here would have slagged off Hoddle for not breaking legs and winning headers. There is no doubt that Eriksen is not at the peak of his powers - as evidenced by his lack of free kick goals - but he is a unique player in our squad, works his g0nads off, and on his day can change things (remember his last minute goal against Burnley to win it at Wembley?). He may (or may not) be off - I am not an expert in body language like many on here - but he has played a part in some of our most scintillating moments over the recent years (remember his winner at the Etihad a few years ago?).
Funny thing there is that Glenn was actually not afraid to make a tackle or go in for a header. Remember, twas his sliding cruncher on Waddock which saw the ball break for Robbo in the ‘82 Cup Final replay!
