Cheatski are still scum

yep scum, I've seen spurs fans behave badly as well though, I've even had a fellow spurs fan start on me after a game we won

all clubs have all sorts of fans, there are cnuts everywhere, let's not fall into the narrative

this shouldn't be reported as, "hey look, these Chelsea fans are racist", but, "hey look, these racists are Chelsea fans" the distinction is important, they are racist with or without football

I agree - every club has their scumbag element - including ours. I took a mate to a spurs game for the first time to see the Benfica UEFA cup game, sat in the south lower, and my friend asked me where the benfica fans were sat. Some drunk guy immediately heard this and started to have a massive go at me and accused me of being a glory hunter and got really aggressive (we had been spanked the previous game at Chelsea as well, which I went to - this was during the crappy part of the sherwood era) and just made the game a really really uncomfortable experience for my friend. Was a bit embarrassed that our fans would behave like this to their own. Not a good advert for the club.

Though I digress on the issue at hand, the issue for Chelsea is that this will be seen as reflective of their club and enhance prejudices of their fans. To an international audience as well. Made the deadspin/gawker/USA media too:

It is a PR nightmare for Chelsea. But the fact is that they have some of the nastier fans around. Very racist.

Questions is: have they known and done nothing about banning racist fans in recent times? If so I can understand them being held to account morally. If not then may be they needed this to happen to them so they can flush th vermin out of their stands.

Nothing did end up happening about the assault on that black steward, did it?

Then there was the King/Terry incident that got hushed away.

Then the redirection of the whole yids chanting.

Personally I think it is a problem with the fans that the club have not addressed.

Amazing that there are still bellends like this in the world. To be fair to Chelsea, they have said they will ban the fans involved if/when they are identified. Most clubs have an element of sh1theads that follow them, but they seem to have a few more than the norm.

Yeah, time for Baddiel to make another y-word video.

They are rotton from the top down. Murdering chairman, celebrity fans who ignore chants referring to Auschwitz from their own skinheads and go after a ropey "it might be a bit racist to some Jews" allegation at our fans. And of course the club captain who was caught calling another man a black **** but gets off any serious sanction, footballing or otherwise, on a technicality.

You get some lovely Chelsea fans (honestly) and some of their players or staff are probably really good guys. But when you have absolutely no morals running through the spine and unchecked high profile racism then sorry, it is time something was done about it. Because the Nazi captain and the hypocritical celebrity fan ain't stepping up and doing it.

Oh and good to see UEFA quickly trying to take responsibility, nice one.

Title change 'forever scum' please

Very little hope of changing.

Oh the irony......Ambramovich the rich Jewish golden egg layer doesn't bat an eyelid at the anti-semitic diatribe that rolls down from the plastic chelscum terraces (i presume his english is still that dogsh*t). What a way to repay your owner.

The owner with more power than any other is surely aware this is going on? and chooses not to do a thing. Lead from the top......nope.

Chelsea Football Club has released the following statement regarding the reported incident on public transport in Paris yesterday (Tuesday):

''Such behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football or society. We will support any criminal action against those involved in such behaviour, and should evidence point to the involvement of Chelsea season ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them including banning orders.''

Such a shame this level of devotion to justice wasn't extended when John Terry was 'involved in such behaviour'

Chelsea: We will ban any fans involved
Rest of the world: Great, who have you banned?
Chelsea: Nobody, we couldn't identify them. The only one we could identify was asking the passenger if he thought he called him a black cvnt - the cameras just didn't catch all of it.

:D yeah on 2nd thoughts, that might be nearer to the reality!

Abrahamovic has exactly the type of resources to investigate who the racist element are at his club. But he has no interest in doing it.

This is a club that is morally bankrupt.

As mentioned above what message did Chelsea send out when it backed Terry for making racist comments?

I also remember the Chelsea fans sneering through the minutes silence for the Hillsborough victims before the Wembley Semi-final in 2012.

In this regard, would they be any different to some on GG? At least in terms of attitude, if not deed?

Sigh. They made such progress towards rehabilitating their reputation with the living wage pledge they did....now they're back to being utter, utter scum.

I'm far too young to know much about that time period, but apparently Chelsea were one of the only top-flight clubs in England to resist the organized fight-back against the likes of the National Front that was going on almost everywhere else in the league. With a history like that (plus their Combat 18 links in more recent times), and the more recent incidents associated with that club (Anton Ferdinand, that steward and Welbeck spring to mind), you'd think that they would be especially careful to shepherd their image in this modern era where smartphones and pervasive internet access together ensure that whatever stupid things you do in public will quickly become free for the whole world to witness......but whatever efforts they and their fans have made towards that aim will now be useless against the tide of public opinion.

Not all Chelsea fans are c*nts like these blokes, and it is important to remember that. And it's also important not to ignore the victim in our race to judge the club itself. But nonetheless, from my point of view it's a memorable bit of schadenfreude given how Spurs fans complaining about Auschwitz and foreskin-based chants by Chelsea supporters were given short shrift by the press, and then actively told to abandon the y-word (adopted proudly as a means of reclaiming the world from anti-semites) because it gave an excuse to racist Chelsea fans to...erm, be racist. And who lectured and hectored us on this? Self-proclaimed Chelsea fan, David Baddiel.

As chicken_badge said, I wonder if he'll come out with another y-word video explaining that 'we're racist, and that's the way we like it' was a chant caused by those nasty Spurs fans being Jewish, and thus provoking a reaction from the wide-eyed, innocent Chelsea lads. Ha ha, bloody ha.

What exactly do you mean? Specifics please.

I don't doubt there are some people who are extremely racially prejudice amongst Spurs fans, but it's a relatively small small minority. At Chelsea I reckon it is still a minority but a significant one.

I have never heard of Spurs fans pushing black men off trains, monkey chanting black players, making hissing noises at clubs known to have a large Jewish following. Worst I've heard is songs about Munich, Wenger peadophile, Campbell hanging from a tree, Adebayors dad. All are venomous, the last one is the only one I believe to be racist. There's debate about the Campbell one but like the y word it isn't overtly racist.

Pushing a black man off a train and singing we're racist and it doesn't come clearer than that. Apart from calling a Ferdinand a black **** live on global TV.
