Cheatski are still scum

Six years is meant to signal that the club know what they are doing, but it shows cluelessness. No one expects him to last six years, something only eight PL managers have achieved, four of whom are all time greats.

What a mad club. This brick did work in the Abramovich era because of the financial doping but now they kinda look like what we were for much of the Levy era (Poch years excepted). Difference is, we were coming from the lowest base and they came from an exceptionally high one.

Mate, it's way worse, it's clear the mandate for manager is "yes man" first (stories of the DoF telling the manager who to rotate in squad?)

Add in, the buy/sell strategy that the manager is expected to have limited say in?

American Private Equity, the bill comes due sometime ..

Yeah I heard that after I posted the above. It's staggering to think managers are being told how many minutes to play players. Absolutely mind boggling. All managers we've had, from the interviews I've seen, have said that Levy never interfered like that or allowed anyone to interfere like that aside from one instance when Tactics Tim was strongly encouraged to play Soldado over Kane (and, apparently, he played Kane anyway).

I know I'm getting old because the game really is changing beyond recognition for me in that respect. All the things I held as sacred cows about a manager's authority are being eroded. That's why I always say, whatever payoff they get, they absolutely deserve - it's the toughest job in football by a distance IMO.
