Fair enough from that perspective.

James and MaduekeThey obviously now need to shift 10 or so players this summer, and will recoup quite a good chunk if they can on most of the, BUT I can't see them doing that BEFORE the end of June? Most transfers even early ones don't normally happen until 1st July do they.
Also, If you wanted a Chelsea outcast wouldn't you wait until closer to deadline day to get a cut price deal when you know you have them over a barrel?*
*brick, This is what years of watching Levy do business has done to me! Not wanting players in early and sacrificing getting them in early and settled just to save on transfer fees lol
Not that I want any of these Chelsea outcasts anyway to be fair. The ones I'd take wouldn't be the any of ones they are trying to shift
James and Madueke
None that many would want at the inflated wages Chelsea are paying them.Yeah, But they won't be on the 'OUT' list. It's players like Pulisic, Ziyech, Kepa, PEA, etc. None we'd really want.
I think domestic transfers are allowed in the period between the PL window opening sometime in June and the international/European one opening on 1 July. They obviously now need to shift 10 or so players this summer, and will recoup quite a good chunk if they can on most of the, BUT I can't see them doing that BEFORE the end of June? We need to shift about 10 players, they probably need to shift closer to 20 (squad is >35 without including loans), especially if they want to give the new manager a few players
They are absolutely fudged
- Everyone knows they have to get people out, so leverage is against them
- Players have guaranteed wages for 8 years, the wages are too high for other clubs, why would anyone take less?
- They will likely have serious FFP concerns so they can't just eat a loss on the sell (it will mess with their books)
- Who's going to buy Kepa & Lukaku?
I seriously consider finding something else to do than watching football if Poch goes to Chelsea! I'd be devastated!Say it's not true.
Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea hopes boosted after positive talks
Mauricio Pochettino has boosted his candidacy for the Chelsea job following a series of positive talks between the Argentine and the Stamford Bridge club.
Julian Nagelsmann remains one of the frontrunners to become Chelsea’s next permanent head coach, but now faces increasing competition from Pochettino, whose credentials are being carefully considered.
Telegraph Sport this week revealed that Luis Enrique had slipped to an outsider for the post and that Chelsea had initiated contact with all candidates, including Nagelsmann and Pochettino.
It is understood that Pochettino has held more than one round of talks with Chelsea this week with warmth growing towards the Argentine, who was interviewed for the job before Graham Potter was appointed head coach.

It’s Chelsea. They’ll have sacked him before they get round to playing us, and the Park Lane will be free again to use the magic song to demoralise our next manager.
^^ Yes. Is there some sort of history with him?
And Levy loves hiring ex-Chelsea managers.
Telegraph is Matt Law, right?
In which case, he's just putting the Poch story out there to wind us up.
(Yes, I am grasping at any straw so I can believe it is not going to happen).
