Championship and EFL Football

One good thing that has come out of tonight's result is we no longer has 4,000 steps to climb next time we're at SJP! Excellent might actually get to see the football there for a change!

Not quite...

We've applied to the Premier League for a special dispensation on health and safety grounds.

Congratulations with the promotion, @Greg

You can now have Sissoko back ;)

Thanks. Been a slog but job done, hard to turn around a rotten club where getting beat every week had become habit.

Only 2nd of last 18 teams relegated to bounce back at first attempt via automatic promotion.

Still, need a whole new team for the Premier League!

Re Sissoko - he's hated up here but Rafa liked him, made him captain and to be fair he did perform for Rafa in our run at end of last season so wouldn't surprise me if he tried to bring him back.

Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and Fulham to the playoffs unless Leeds get the three points and thirteen goals they need to overtake Fulham in the final round next weekend.

Wigan relegated.

Blackburn and Birmingham both won, so it's one from those two and Nottingham Forest for the last relegation spot.

In order of preference to go up Sheffield Wednesday Fulham Huddersfield Reading

Been too busy in life to post much these days but things settling down. I've moved to the midlands (Leamington Spa, lovely place and only an hour to London on the train). Glad to see the back of the Championship, thought we would be welcomed with open arms but everyone has fudging hated us and tried everything possible to fudge us over. The standard of refereeing is beyond a joke. Job done by Rafa, would have been comfortable had we invested in January as we are a central midfielder and a winger short even at this level.

Keep Rafa long term and things look positive. He's talking sensibly about slow growth and managing expectations despite the media saying he'll walk if he doesn't get £100M etc.

The main change really though is that Saudi Sportswashing Machine has started to act like a football club again and re-connected with the fan base and the community in Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Positive times for the first time in a while and with Rafa in charge we have a bright future.

I think we'll look to bring in 4 or 5 and be looking relatively comfortable next season between about 9th and 14th but not flirting with relegation zone and then can push on from there.

If Rafa and MA do fall out though and he leaves we are fudged and the club will implode.

There are 7 teams fighting for two playoff spots in League Two. Right this moment four of them are on 68 points and three on 67 points.

First Hartlepool come back to win from 0-1 down against promoted side Doncaster to possibly escape relegation, but then Newport do the same against Notts County with an 89th minute winner. If Newport had drawn they would have gone down on goal difference.

Blackburn, Birmingham and Forest all winning at HT. Blackburn currently going down due to having scored fewer goals than Forest.

Millwall now 3-1 up. Hope they get promoted and then next season who knows.

We need their traditional rivals West Ham to focus on them and stop their obsession with us.

Ah, Bradford going to Wembley again. I am so pleased.
Potentially will see a Championship club offering season tickets for £149
