winning this competition is the point of football

They’ve not even been the best team in their own league for a lot of the time. They’re so bloody lucky in this competition it’s unreal! Even tonight two scrappy goals and a massive calamity from Neuer. Even when they had Ronaldo they often finished behind Barca. They just got the job done.

Umm maybe that's the case. When it really really matters , in the biggest of games , in the biggest of moments , he doesn't come up trumps.
Tuchel made it clear in his press conference that this is Kane's chance to show his class and make the difference , he didn't.
