No

Why tarnish all teams from a Country because of some backwards macarons

And having been to span to watch us play I can categorically say the police over there are a Joke who seem to want to batter you for the sake of it

because it's the same whichever team it is, 99% of english men (and it is always men) attending a game in spain spend the day shirtless and tinkled whilst singing ridiculous songs

backwards macaron is the national average

i've seen us play in spain too, i had no issues
with local law enforcement, but then I kept myself as far away from large groups of my countrymen as possible

Frankly, as a country, we are largely ignorant and have an over inflated sense of our own worth. We have a blatantly xenophobic press that feeds the ignorance and politicians too scared to challenge the ignorance or those that peddle it.

I've seen us play all over Europe and I have hardly ever seen the shirtless macarons you describe (I'm talking Spurs games not England).

Did you go to Sevilla where they attacked Spurs fans in the ground for no reason and the lady from sky was caught in it???

not that one no, yes they were heavy handed, they had a playbook for english fans i guess

they were certainly there for our last game in madrid, vomiting into the gutter, discarding recyclables onto the floor, abusing staff at the airport the next morning, i've not been to a foreign game since due to the embarrassment I felt

I went to Madrid too but only on the day

It was messy and there were all sorts there

I also saw their fans behaving in a disgusting manner as well as some of our macaron element

I've been to Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, France and Belgium, Holland and Italy to watch us play and never had any issue with the police despite some of our fans being tacos at those games. Hell Belgium was Anderlecht just after the terrorist attacks

In Milan we had Spurs fans drunk, singing and dancing and also being uncouth. Only time the police stepped in was when some idiot tried to put a flag on the cathedral. We got escorted in and out and it was slick

In Spain it's about as slick as tar. The police have no idea what their doing and their first reaction is to just hit someone almost as if they enjoy it. The way they operate is appallingly bad. I'm lead to believe that it's beacaye unlike the other countries I mentioned in Spain away fans don't travel, so the police don't know what to do

as bad as the police response may be it's only in response to abhorrent behaviour

the two wrongs don't cancel each other out

english football fans need to act differently, show some respect for the city they are guests in

Müller is totally out of form, and not an adequate replacement for Lewandowski atm. They're much more potent with Lewandowski. Hummels will also probably be available for the return leg.

True. I thought Lewandowski was a bit older 31'sh. He's 28! was surprised. Muller will be shipped out this summer and a couple of big signings bought in. Aubameyang is 27!!
I'd go for Mbappe and or Debelle!

I don't go to away european games as usually the local police take the opportunity to do their riot training, takes me back to how police use to behave in Yorkshire and parts of Lancashire.

No that's not right at all

As I said I've been there and seen it

If people do something wrong that's against the law then deal with it correctly and proportionate as we would over here or as they do in most civilised countries. So if someone is singing a song don't throw tear gas at them or batter them with weapons when simply pulling them out of the crowd and taking them away solves the issue

I regularly travel with a Cambridge university lecturer for away European games and we also try to see some sites when away. In his words some countries (Spain being the main one) treat you like your a Cold War rebel (his specialist subject). He is 64 by the way and has travelled far more than the average person
