Champions League 2015/16

"What Arsenal lacked, however, was quality transitions. Many sides have caused Barcelona problems this season by pressing high up the pitch and forcing turnovers: Malaga and Atletico Madrid in recent weeks, for example.

But because Arsenal weren't doing that and didn't enjoy too many spells of heavy possession inside the opposition half, they needed to play on the counter-attack.

And to do that, they needed to ensure their transitions were good, switching smoothly from the defensive phase to the attacking phase. In that respect, Arsenal were poor. Their decision-making and composure at key moments let them down and some of their best "opportunities" were wasted on the break before a chance had been created."

So both Leicester (effective at playing on the counter) and us (one of the best high pressing teams in the world) would have done much better against Barcelona last night.

This is why Arsenal never go anywhere in the competion. Team with no real tactics sent out to play. Turning over most premier league teams because they have better players.

Careful; you'll have Neymar on your back with such talk...

He's no worker but Yarmelnko is a very dangerous player. More of a wildcard, chasing the game type rather than one Poch would trust from the start. He's good to watch.

What a miss by Toure

Yeah. Just worried they'll go on an extended winning run in the PL.

Possibly, or (clutching at straws and fingers crossed) after the weekend it could be their become their main priority and maybe rest players in the league matches before the CL ties.
They will definitely fancy their chances of winning it and it could sidetrack them especially if they dont start chipping away at Leicester's lead over them. Bear in mind the next time City step on the pitch at Anfield they could be 12pts adrift with 2 games in hand. If that were the case and they failed to beat Liverpool it could be down to a 3-horse race

City progressing in the CL is a good thing for us I think.
