Champions League 2014/15

I work with a man who has been a City fan for 30 years. Over these past years of money spent and success bought, he's become so high on his horse he's already given up on the league because they've lost some points and doesn't bother watching the CL.

It's what happens when you buy stuff you haven't earned.

Should Aguero have had a penalty in the last ~minute? Looks like he was pushed over to me.

Also think the one he was booked for was probably a pen. There was contact from the defender though he did go down easy..

I don’t speak about Liverpool, I speak about myself. If one day I go to a game and I don’t feel I can win, maybe I don’t go. So, normally, against the most difficult opponents, I will try to go with my best team.

How's that working out for ya?

But who knows? Liverpool might play a fantastic match and win and rest players and the players are in great condition to play against Chelsea. In this case it might be a genius decision. In football it is difficult to comment.

But you always do it anyway, don't you?

It seems all I hear when I watch City is, they should have x amount of pens.
F#ck me, they had 3 against us, they wanted 3 against United and wanted 2 or 3 tonight. All this supposed talent and they are relying on getting penalties to score goals.

Judging by BlueMoan, that's quite common among the City fans. They really have developed a sense of entitlement unlike anyone else. Everything is a rag (ManU supporter) conspiracy against them.

There's always a sob story, had a hard group, unlucky, haven't had much experience in the competition etc. It's total crap considering how well we did in the tournament with nowhere near the resources.

Aguero's difficult to deal with, he's going to draw challenges..

I was mainly asking though as they were down to 9 men and if they should have got a draw in the dying seconds makes it a bit funnier..

It looked like a penalty to me (the one in injury time) as Aquero was literally about to shoot and both feet went from behind him.

But then he'd just tried to con the ref by diving, so can hardly complain if 5 mins later you don't get a decision.

First one was a blatant dive.

they actually shouldve been getting all of those penalities though :D

i would still much rather this ref than some of the premier league ones. at least this ref's mistakes are genuine. the premier league refs make up their own rules as they go along.

City really are doing their best to single handedly screw up our UEFA coefficient.

In ten years time only one English club will get a CL spot and that will be City. Even then they still probably won't make it through the first round qualifier

There was contact from the defender, but he got no where near the ball so Aguero went down. It's what we expect these days. Would like to see it again though.

I seen it a few times and there was barely any contact at all I would say. Looked a dive to me.

We won more CL games in 2 weeks then City have in 4 seasons.

A wonderful stat!

I have always said I'd have played anyone but Madrid in the QF because Mourinho knew how to grind one out the wrong way, the horrible man. And I've always felt that Crouch (and us) got ****ed over in that first-leg. I have yet to see any other ref give 2 yellow cards to a striker in the first 12 minutes of a QF, with no warning.

We could've won it that season.

Very harsh sending off indeed. We lost the tie then and there, IMO.

Seems so typical Spurs that when we face a very difficult task, it's made even more difficult from decisions like that. Like the countless debatable penalty decisions and red cards when playing the likes of Chelski, United, ****, etc. It's extremely frustrating when these incidents deny us a fair chance to win the game on equal terms.

I think we probably would've lost the Real Madrid tie anyway, and winning it all was never very likely, but with a better draw and a bit of luck - well, we were only four games from the final. Stranger things have happened.

As for the City stat: :ross:
