Canning Town Bingo Club

The OS is very much close to/linked to Stratford Westfield. On match days i could see it being hell down there if there isn't a route to the game that doesn't involve walking through the shopping centre.

Does anyone know if there are main ways that football crowds travelling via public transport will be directed to the stadium that doesn't mean they automatically have to go through the shopping centre?

If you're coming via Stratford then you will be walking in the very close vicinity of the shopping centre, and although you don't need to physically walk through the actual centre itself, there are shops/bars/restaurants outside on the periphery. I imagine there will be loads of security, but I can't see how they can stop anyone going into Westfield. Also for anyone looking for food/drink before the game, that's the place to go, along with a few bars"nearby the approach to the stadium, just outside the Westfield centre.

I heard that the plan is for Away fans to be taken in and out via Hackney Wick, which is at the other side of the ground to Westfield. But other than being escorted that way by the police after a game, I don't really see how that will work on the way in, unless they are talking just about coaches, or that they will be advising fans from further afield to use Hackney Wick station. Fans travelling from within or around London are most likely to make a beeline to Stratford, I would have thought.

hackney wick is a tiny station with a narrow ramp from street to platform

It's just what I heard that away fans would come in from that direction. It might just be referring to fans travelling on club coaches who will be walked in from that direction. (Although I have no idea where coaches will drop off/pick up).
The reference to Hackney Wick station was just my guessing that it might be advised as an alternative, but if it's that small, then it's probably not feasible. (Plus one of the main interchanges for those wanting to get to Hackney Wick is probably Stratford in any case.)

Good news if true re Hackney Wick - plenty of bars down there and a nice walk along the canal to the stadium

So sick of the media love in for them. Been nothing but West Ham and their final game at their precious brickhole the Boleyn Ground all day on Talksport, BBC and Sky.

Their fans are hardly any better than Millwall fans, who are pretty much universally loathed. So why the feck do West Ham get away with it just because they are "passionate"?
