Ta. Maybe Son can go to the same surgeon. He is back in training, so I would hope soon.
Some talk that he could make the bench this weekend, but might be too soon.
He had an op on a groin injury.
Dragging this thread up from page 4.
What is/was wrong with him, and when is he back?
In case you've forgotten his playing style:
Busy, left foot only, jinky, aware, not fast, marathon distances, can cross, prefers to jink and pass low.
Sure, he's only 22 and I am highlighting his skills to demonstrate his potential. To be honest. That video does not make him look amazing. He steals a goal on the line, goes over a lot still. And none of his crosses pick out a man. But he does get to the by line a lot and we need that. And his energy is good and he is still young. so have hopes for him under Ange.

Is he fit enough for selection this week? Seems to have been in the training photos for a couple of weeks now. With Solomon, Johnson, Perisic all out and son struggling it would be an ideal time for him to rock up.
We might need to make a call between him and Veliz to start, if Richarlison and Kulusevski are our only other fit attackers
Might make the bench going by this Ange interview
It’ll be Richi - Son - Kulu. With Veliz and Gill on the bench I’d imagine. We might need to make a call between him and Veliz to start, if Richarlison and Kulusevski are our only other fit attackers

I was thinking that at the start of the week, but Ange confirmed in the presser today there were no issues with Son or Maddison. Son’s trained normally the last couple of days and Maddison normally all week.Son had quite a bad limp after the Liverpool match, which he was carrying from the week before against Arsenal. With a 2 week break ahead, I reckon he'll not be risked for Luton.
This is great news. I would like to see Gil make an appearance from the bench if he's fully fit and ready, just to see what he can show after some time away from the club.I was thinking that at the start of the week, but Ange confirmed in the presser today there were no issues with Son or Maddison. For Luton away? I’ll bet you a score he ain’t!Johnson will hopefully be fit too.
