But one footSame here. What you get with Lamela is 100% effort, along with a desire to beat the opposition, every time he's on the pitch
And most of the time no legs to play with

I'd still have Lamela back in a heartbeat. I know I'm wrong, but to have Romero at the back, Richi up top and Lamela in midfield we'd end up being kings of brickhousery every week - and win more than we lost.
They're under a lot of pressure. They were one spot from the bottom of the table at the start of yesterday's game with the same points as their opponent, Almeria. And they have a toughish schedule through the end of the season, especially their last 3-4 games. Not comfortably mid-table at all and if you factor in EL, where they're likely to go through to the next round, it's not going to be "we're just focusing on the league right now." They'll have two games a week most weeks.Good goal, but they are playing in a team with little pressure on them, little chance of qualifying for Europe and safe from relegation, should help Gil relax more, he always looks to be trying to hard when he played for us and didn't do himself justice.
He scored last weekend in the league too. I like him. I think he could be someone who features more under the new regime whoever that may be.....
I wouldn't say no chance at all. He plays not just out wide but centrally aswell, not much different to Kulu. Of course it's dependant on the manager, but back 3 or back 4 there will still be opportunities for him if the manager rates him. Just dependant on the overall formation as to where.....I like him too, but it all depends on formation. If we get a back 4 manager then yes, if we get a back 3 manager then no chance
If we keep Danjuma and Kulu it's difficult to see him getting regular starts and he would be stopping Mundle 1st team chances, I suppose it will get clearer in the close season.

Yet we have scored goals for fun…I think it's a nice balance - Son and Danjuma as the direct options, Kulu and Gil as the indirect ones.
If there's one thing our squad desperately needs, it's to tip the balance back significantly to creators and passers, so it makes lots of sense to give Gil a major role in that.

Creativity isn’t the issue today despite the fact that we all seem to want a new number 10
Gil i just can’t see fitting in but I’d love to be wrong
Emirates Marketing Project have a striker who has scored a similar ratio of goals for them as Kane has for usNot sure, our goal output is clearly influenced by the fact that we have two strikers (despite Son's brick season) who regularly outperform their xG over their career, i.e. we don't create that many chances, we simply convert quite a good percentage.
I also think when we talk about a "creative" midfielder broadly it's more about a midfielder that can help with possession, recycle the ball as well as create different passing options and breaking the lines. Again, a midfielder profile that isn't a PEH/Skipp type

But if we start trying to have some possession again, to relieve our defence, we'll be facing deep-set defences, rather than ones quickly retreating from our half. So we'll need to employ a couple of lockpickers again

Would be nice to loan him to a team better than Sevilla who are fighting for EL in Ger / IT / Spain e.g. 5th or 6th i.e. somewhere he should see significant game time, but not relegation zone.Despite the usual Tottenham Hottakes critics of him, he clearly has alot of talent. No way I would be binning him off

As he matures we will learn more. So far he isn't quite putting up the numbers that excite me.
