Yeah had many heated debates with Spurs fans who did not rate Carrick at all. "What does he do?" Was always the question. And when i tried to explain how he basically set the entire tempo of a match they'd just laugh and say I was talking gonads: "he can't tackle, he can't run, he can't shoot, he just passes sideways". A lot of fans only started rating him when Man Utd bought him.
Some top class players there, but also some way over rating of players that wouldn't get into the first 11 we have now.
I'm not even going there.

This list is more about players who get you off your seat
carrick did that dribble in fight of wenger and had Arsenal crying (shame it never went in)
But apart form them it was less about him exciting fans and more about him being the platform for players to play off

Of that list, Bergvall has the talent and aura for me. Odobert could well have the talent, we shall see. Same with Moore (too early to tell really). Gray is (as I said before IMO) the closest I've seen to Perrymanesque.
