Never seen Rodri do stuff like this.Busquets was competing with Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Xavi just off of the top of my head.
Also thats harsh on Rodri, i don’t think he is that far behind Busquets in all honesty.

Wish we had a player who can do what Rodri does for City, obviously he may not be as good [not many are] but its the mentality of a proper DM that we are missing.
Funny that Kane all of a sudden is in the top ten when he keeps performing (and not winning trophies) for a more fashionable club. Silly me for thinking this was an individual award.
Still going for club and country at 40 is insane!

No chance Cruyff scored a crazy amount of goals. That is a generational player.
In 20 years his name will be up there in coversations with cruyff etc...

Way better imo. He's Zidane level conversation.
Cruyff won ballon d'or 3 times.
In the old days, when football brick.
Don’t get me wrong, he was fudging brilliant, but levels behind Zidane and Modric, who are probably both in footballs all time best 11.
Google it. Most sites has cruyff above them. He is one of the greatest players of all time. Nearly all have him top 10 if not top 5.
everyone is welcome to their opinion
I think football evolves, the level only goes one way, athleticism and fitness is a huge part of it too
Apologies. It’s about xG.The game isn't just about goals.

And Cruyff would have been fitter and more athletic, his skills would have transferred magnificently into the modern game.
Would Modric have shone on crappy surfaces with less/zero protection from 'proper' tackling?
The game does evolve, players are as you say, more athletic and fitter, but they aren't more skillful. Just the playing surfaces and technology improvements alone (balls and boots alone come to mind), let alone the levels of professionalism and training knowledge, mean you can do more.
You realise modric started in the bosnian league then croatian? He shone enough to get a big money (at the time) move to us.
