Tonight was really dreadful.

Unless the players come out and tell Levy they aren't playing for him any more, we need to see this through to the end, so there are no Poch-style-arguments about whether he was sacked too soon.
We see it through to May and see how we play with the full squad back, and then we will know for sure one way or the other.

Guess we’ll soon see whether Postecoglou’s leadership group proves to be his undoing…

UEFA's broadcast cameras caught Maddison complaining about the game to Son and apparently saying: "It's always the same play."

I'm sorry but they two were brick tonight, wtaf was that fk all about.
Take some fudging responsibility you fool, one fudging tap in and he's doing shush gestures, ange has been bad but so has maddison.
Wonder what Roy Keane will have to say

If Postecoglou is still gaffer next season he needs to ditch those 2 like Pochettino did Adebayor and Kaboul.

I'd really like to know who your dealer is

After 9 seasons of watching Son play for this team, you think he's the problem and not the manager?

Son is a club legend but has been run into the ground by club and country for several seasons plus is clearly unsuited to AngeBall.

If we fail to win Europa League then I expect there’ll be a new gaffer next season (barring a miraculous winning streak in EPL on par with the first 10 games of his tenure) but if he’s still around then Postecoglou should be installing Kulusevski plus maybe Solanke or Gray into leadership roles so that he doesn’t feel compelled to start our ageing captain every game.

Absolutely no point sacking him till the summer now

Could have made an impact if done at Xmas

Bloke is clueless
I feel like there is a point sacking after the second leg if we go out. Save the squad from his injuries and twelve games with Mason seems fine (not the 20 or so it was a couple of months ago). Think we'd pick up more points with Mason and the players could see the reset of the summer. If Levy doesn't fire him in the summer then he's changed strategy and not for the better.

It's always hard phasing out a legend (a reason selling them when they're slightly past their peak can be beneficial). I think we're lucky Son may have a smaller ego than many. He shouldn't be starting all the time next season, fine off the bench and starting half the games at most

I disagree on the 20 games point , think someone like Mason could have come in and gone back to basics and a simple game plan could have seen us perform better.

We had a chance to save the season then

Apparently McManaman said one of the reasons Liverpool went for Slot was his track record of keeping players fit. Heard exactly the same thing on the Overlap podcast a few weeks ago. Thought that was interesting compared to our situation where we can’t go 5 minutes without sustaining an injury.

He is rotating alot, Diaz plays far less than he did, loads of depth on their bench and he is not afraid to pick "lesser" sides with the quality still in it to navigate games. Everything just now seems a last throw of the dice here. Solanke yesterday...........sheshhhhh
