American politics

Maybe, but playing dumb and attacking the journalist or their publication is their goto tactic when they get a question they don't like or want to answer.
They've perfected the art of deflecting criticism - taken it to a whole new level, really. You expect top level politicians to be made of teflon, but these guys reside in their own bullet proof bubble, impenetrable to indisputable facts and logic.

He definitely didn't know...you could tell by his expression and getting the wrong end of the stick about what was being said.
Fair enough. I didn't watch it, just saw his response attacking the Atlantic. I guess that is probably worse, in that his idiot cabinet is playing at war behind his back and he doesn't know about it. I'll hazard a guess that no reporter followed up with a question along those lines.

I have always opposed Trump. I will follow what i think on every individual subject. But time after time everything they say and do is wrong.

Part of me thinks they are a counter reaction to how far the liberals took things in the other direction. Well i know its true because of people i know who like Trump.

But to be threatning to invade Greenland start a war with Denmark and Canada. I would say the same if it were any other country doing it.

Starmer needs to call the Americans to book and explain this is not how you behave.

More chance Poch returning and us doing the quadruple than Starmer growing a pair.

Unfortunately, we have spent decades in bed with the US on almost every aspect of our national security. It's not quite as simple as telling Trump to f uck right off. If only it was.

From the man who brought you 'Sleepy Joe...asleep at the wheel' etc.

I suppose it's difficult for him to be on top of his brief on a Monday morning. After all, there was a lot of golf to be played in Florida over the weekend.

I agree we are closely linked with them. But Trump likes strong men.

We should be taking back any offer of a state visit and saying that as Ameruca is no longer a trusted partner that their army bases in the UK have to close within the next 3 years.

Frankly I would be telling Macron in France that if he does not want British companies bidding for European armed manufacturing contracts, which is completely their right to do so. Then they don't get any help in defending Europe.

I am neither one side or the other but have the strength of mind to make up my own mind on every individual topic.

One thing I dislike about America under Trump is the protectionism which I actually find similar to the EU in aspects. Free trade for all nations, including African ones. Which the EU has often treated appallingly.

My political personality is built round democracy and fair trade and equality. How the Americans are behaving trying to go into countries and take their resources is the worst thing to do in my political mindset. It is what the EU have done but no where near as bad as Trump, he is doing imperialism on steroids.

For the record I also agree British imperialism was wrong. I like the JFK idea that all people of the world are equal.

And also for the record the is no chance Oswald was the lone gunman.

When have the EU gone into non-EU countries and taken their resources?

France has a history of it in Africa, Bothe the Spanish and French fish in African waters at times without their permission.

Infact the French have used intimidating behaviour towards successive British government's tofish in British waters. But it is the way EU countries treat African nations for the mining of minerals etc and also their coffee farmers that sits badly with me.

Though let me reiterate no where close to how Trump and the Americans are now behaving. If you always aim to seek the truth rather then picking sides you can criticise whoever whenever they are wrong.

Trump and the Americans are behaving disgustingly but most nations do this to some degree.

The one upside to Britain having awful politicians the last 20 years is that we have not really done it. I imagine if Farage gets in at the next election he might try to start. As it is we are utterly incompetent but not really into imperialism anymore. I don't like imperialism and would rather we were like Japan. Civilised values focused on trade and innovation.

Isn't it mostly French and Spanish trawlers using a loophole to fish in African waters? Not saying it's right, but it's relatively small, a couple of billion from what I can remember, but willing to be corrected on that. Trump is trying to force 100s of billions out of countries or in the case of Gaza force the popultion out and take control of it. That's a totally different ball game.

Absolute macarons are in charge of America now.

Hard to believe what Crooked Pete Hegseth has been up to re the security breach, with Sleepy Don Trump snoozing above him at the top of government.

The problem with this administration is no matter how hilarious/unbelievable/scary the reasons/theories as to why this happened .....they are ALL feasible options. It's hard to get a read on almost anything....as it's so cloaked in chaos and flimflam

The fix is in

The greatest democracy on earth, where nobody (sane) actually gets to vote and the winner of a popularity contest gets unlimited power.

When's he signing the order to reduce the number of polling stations in Democrat leaning counties?

States can now decide for themselves if they want to ban abortion and he's trying to get rid of the department of education so that the states can teach nothing but the bible and the constitution if they so choose, but on voting they can't be trusted?
