He is wasting no time. He was already two years head with the court situation. It's not even a case of 'will it/won't it' in terms of benefits for the American people. I just hope it doesn't hurt those who he thought he cared too much on the way out. That 'advisory' committee he's given Musk and the other billionaire is as honest as it gets, because anyone looking at that and thinking the benefits will be for anyone other than billionaires is truly a fudging idiot.

This Hegseth guy as Sec of Defense is another piece of work. A Christian far-right type and of the worst flavour. He is part of the reformed reconstructionist strand and these charming men are for the expansion of Christendom . So being in charge of the most powerful army in history might help with this new crusade (yep he has also has Crusader tats). Who knows where this is leading.

I am surprised to see members of the GOP saying things like, "This wasn't on my bingo card." tossers. Trump literally told EVERYONE the sort of brick he was going to pull and execute. This 'surprise' is nearly as galling as the potential appt itself. Now let's see if any of these 'not my bingo card' tossers exercise their power and make sure it gets blocked. I won't be holding my breath...

Just resigned from Congress to stop the investigation into him having sex with underage girls. He's not going to say no when Trump starts asking him to interfere.
 
In a bunch of red states, the search terms "how to change my vote" and "will tariffs increase inflation" have spiked since they made their choice.
Maybe they should have googled it a week or so earlier.

It's certainly going to be an interesting dilemma for our government (and other European ones).

Already rowing back on historical comments aimed at Trump it must be difficult as day by day a new crony reveals itself thru the curtain. How does one position themselves?

I personally wouldn't bother trying to appease him, it would take too much ass kissing and bribery to live with. I can fully understand why a countries leader may choose that path but I'd reciprocate any tariffs twofold, give him the middle finger and ignore him.

I certainly wouldn't be rolling out the red carpet for a 34 time convicted felon to visit.

THIS will be the challenge. So many of these people are going to get their arses handed to them. Unfortunately, many have ton suffer. Can we tolerate and reintegrate those who got suckered by him when they come asking for 'forgiveness'? I think it is the ONLY hope we have, to stop the division, however appalled we might be at their initial actions. We have to stop dividing ourselves if the opportunity reasonably presents itself...
