Things could look very different in 3 years time. I'm sure that he will be in court on tax charges before then and the whole family are implicated in that.

I think it's plausible one of his sons will run if Donald's health deterriorates and/or he dies in the next four years. Nothing like a martyr/father figure to spur you on, and I'm sure Donald's supporters will be up for putting any Trump back in power.
