American politics

I don't know whether to spend the evening glued to the telly watching a good movie or the US election. Will probably have a beer or three either way.

Most politicians only come forward and talk to people in the weeks prior to elections and say 'I'm on your side. I'll fight for YOU', and then they spend the next 4 years doing nothing else than build and protect their own assets.
Trump has actually done a couple of things he said he'd do. Although those things were crazy, that doesn't matter. It's seen as a great achievement by lower, and lower middle class people.
Lower class people are also over the moon in appreciation because they have had a few dollars a month more since he came in...

The biggest draw is that he talks tough guy. And patriotism. That is it. He has resorted to peddling the same brick as 2016.
I think the MAGA thing still being here is incredible; make America great again? Well, who has been President the last four years?

Truth is, this election is in the hands of a minority of people. That is why it is so dangerous, the equivalent of making an away goal count for three!

I’ve got a terrible feeling about this.

Anyone able to reassure me?

He won’t get in Mikey. If he does, I’ll buy you your own private island, with some beautiful women who’ll worship you as their king, an unlimited supply of alcohol and a Sky Sports and BT subscription.

More chance of rSol becoming our manager.

(I can’t wait to read this post back in around 24 hours).

Goldman Sachs analysts noted four Sun Belt states—Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina—where Biden is leading narrowly in the polls that are expected to report results fairly quickly.
If Biden wins any of those states, the analysts said, it would make it very difficult for President Trump to win the 270 electoral votes he needs for a second term, and markets are likely to believe Biden will win the election.
If Trump wins those four states like he did four years ago, on the other hand, the race will hinge on the northern battleground states—Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin—that will likely take days to report their results.
In that case, the election outcome might not be clear until much later.
Goldman also noted that the outcome of the Senate majority could also be relatively clear (though the exact margins will not be) on Tuesday evening depending on the outcome in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, and North Carolina.

Can anyone explain the Trump dancing to YMCA thing to me? Do the Republicans know what the song is about?
