2022 World Cup... gonna ruin the European Season

Very few meaningless matches too, thanks largely to the upsets.

It's been a classic tournament on the pitch. But I hate the idea of that masking the horrendous fiasco that's been holding it in Qatar in the first place.
like Argentina or South Africa or Russia ... yeah, get your point, but apparently it's been a grat atmosphere there and easy to get to the stadiums as they are close together, centralised

Morocco the first African nation to reach a semi final world cup, amazing

I only caught the end. But isn't it 30 seconds per sub? I'm guessing there was 4/5 instances of subs in second half? That's 4-4.5 mins already.

It can easily add up with how the rules have changed the past season or two. It still feels a little alien to see that number - but it's probably about right.
(Maybe Fergie had a point?!)
The fourth official takes the actual time of subs, celebrations, injuries etc. They actually have a stop watch, like they should have 40 years ago, instead of just guestimates.

Also time to give yellow cards amid all the protests. Eight minutes probably wasn't enough.

The bidding requirements are designed so that doesn't happen. England wouldn't be allowed a bid including Wembley, NWHL, Ashburton Grove, the Olympic Stadium, Twickenham and Stamford Bridge.

Yeah, but Qatar is such a small country you can't avoid it. Which begs the question, if distance is a requirement, why give it to such s small country?

fudge yeah for Morocco as well, defo my fav African country due to it being the only one I have had the fortune of visiting so far. Beautiful place and people, would love them to win it if England don't.

For years I’ve said they should have a big clock that everyone can see like they do in basketball and NFL. That way, everyone knows what’s what and how much time there is left. Seems ridiculous to me in 2022 it’s so cloak and dagger and no one knows how much time is left except for the ref. I’m not saying teams don’t time waste and there shouldn’t be time added for it but 10 mins and 8 mins seems excessive and that they just wanted to give the other team enough time to get an equaliser.
