    that's quite true. when rdz started he could not take risks and the safest bet is to fully focus on the more experienced; he wouldn't have had the time to proprely check out the junior players except for those training with the first team

    penalties are harsh, extra time is gruelling for the entire team. i recall fifa had another option a long time ago which involved taking off 1 player per team each every five minutes until one scored, would have preferred that for the drama !

    it was all during levy's time where he decided he could navel gaze and decide how much more to spend on players, based on the books. he refused to see how much the competition were improving and how much quality they have in their first team squad. and we've paid the price for it.
