It’s in their interest to keep increasing the value of the asset. For when they sell that’s obvious. But they will have been getting loans based on the club as an asset for 20+ years now which they then use to reinvest in various other busiensss they are in. The Lewis family will have made billions already from owning Spurs but it will never be reflected in dividend payouts on the balance sheet.
 
The Lewis's sold four paintings at Sotheby's in March for about £30 million or so, lot nos 16 - 19, I went to the preview and didn't know the Lewis's had pictures in the sale but I watched the auction online and Joe & Vivien were name checked by the auctioneer.

I sometimes go with the other half to auction previews at Sotheby's, Christies and Bonhams as it is as good as going to an art gallery or museum, you get to see loads of art that will go into private hands like the Lewis's, all way beyond my pay grade.
wait ... are you the Lewises in disguise...
