    Next seasons squad

You pretty much pointed out all of what I considered flaws in squad setup. LW is terrible and LB needs sorting, in CM we need a passer and I would skip Palhinha and go for a Joao Gomes who does most of what Palhinha offers but is way better on the ball and lot more progressive with it. You could...

Basically if the ball is not in play at the time of the incident he cannot give a penalty as that is an in play award. So the thinking is if the foul actually occured before play restarted it's not a pen, even if the foul continued once play restarted. It is exactly for this reason why penalties...

    Richarlison

We need a bit more than tries hard and pays to his limits, especially when those limits are so dismal.

He was rubbish but again he went don't have any fit options for the right who actually play there so the alternatives are hail Mary's like maybe playing Souza there or Spence/Porro. I do get it he was terrible but he's not a RW himself so it was never likely to work. He's a square peg in a...

    Next seasons squad

It's one of those funny situations that can lead to hyperbole but it's so much easier to think of the few that you would absolutely keep versus who you want to sell. As everyone can probably guess I'd sell the vast majority of that was a realistic option as most are mediocre and not up standard...

With regards to the midfield I don't think he rates (quite fairly) the options that Bergvall and Gray give him. In retrospect there is obviously an argument that changing it would been for the better but if the manager doesn't really rate the other options then he's stuck between a rock and a...

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

I would have liked to have seen Souza come on for Muani or Richy (and move Muani central) I agree it could have probably happened a few minutes earlier but alas this is the problem when you are working with poor quality tools, every misstep, every hesitation can be very costly. Our players...

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

Aye but I get it, he has no real options. He's making the subs because he feels he has to, but he doesn't really believe in the subs so he's hedging a bit to see if that starting 11 can eeke out the result.

The we are staying up thread

That's the thing, the youth recruitment policy hasn't even really been picking the very best talents. Yes people will go overboard with the potential of Gray and Bergvall but they aren't actually that special if you really have a look around the world of football. It's such a weird approach...

I think it's due to the boom busy cycle. We beat Villa and and did decently against Leeds and Wolves and now a lot of people expectations had reset again to being a topish side. Then yesterday happens and despite functioning as a team reasonably well the general lack of quality was clear and...

© The thing with that pass is that if it was the other way around I have my doubts that we would have been able to make it such a clean cut chance in the first place let alone score from it. Could you imagine Richy or Muani latching on to that loose ball and doing something decisive with it...

Yeah I get you, someone suggested maybe bringing on Souza to the left, he had a great cameo against Liverpool and maybe he could have added some spark. I do think De Zebi had opted to go for the more experienced players but maybe a random element might have been the way to go. I do get going...

It was a bad pass from RKM but it was hardly a through ball directly into a 1 on 1 with the keeper. There was time to recover, we just weren't able to.

I haven't watched it back in the post game so I don't know the timings. It's just that if the foul starts before the ball is kicked then he can't give a pen. If the foul actually starts after the kick then it should have been. You would think VAR would be looking at it and I believe in the...

    James Maddison

He's trying hard but the sharpness isn't there yet. Gotta give him massive credit for putting in the effort despite not having the fitness yet.

I turned Sky off but if the action starts before the ball flies in then that is correct because like how if you foul a play outside the box but they then fall in the box it's not a pen because the action started earlier.

VAR should have looked back it, they probably saw and didn't pull it up despite that being a clear and obvious error.

Right now no one, but that wasn't my point. I literally have have seen people arguing that he should be out starting RWF next season, that he's earnt the place and proved enough. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 fudge that!
