** FA Cup 4th Round - Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project **

That goal's disallowed for backing in 9 times out of 10 at Anfield, but we were never getting the decision. I'm not that bothered; there were a few little cameos but we were second best all night and never really looked like scoring, I didn't think. I wouldn't have wanted a replay and I'm...

The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

The goal should have been disallowed and Toney booked for unsportsmanlike conduct. Having said that, the men in the Forest wall who saw what was going on and did eff all about it wanted bloody shooting at the command of the ghost of Brian Clough. Every cheat ever is someone who took a gamble...

The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

Toney cheating by interfering with the ref's jizz spray and moving the ball to give himself a better angle for the first-half equaliser. The Forest wall should have adjusted, but I'd be disgusted to see one of our players doing that. VAR silent, of course.

    Cheatski are still scum

I think with any coaching/teaching/management role, it's often difficult to say why it just seems to click in one situation and not another, but you can't just sort of unplug it and plug it in somewhere else in different circumstances; it's more a sort of alchemy. I experienced it from both...

Is this the end of big spending in european football?

Should be pretty straightforward then. I'm looking forward to City and Chelsea getting relegated to the 4th Division now :)

Is this the end of big spending in european football?

My expectation is that clubs who the authorities don't think are able to afford to challenge it in the courts will continue to see the full weight of sanctions applied, and those that can afford it won't. We shall see.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Especially when all they do afterwards is disbelieve the lies and misdirection you feed them through your client media, which you've paid good money for. Ok, it was actually their money you paid as well, but you know what I mean.

I wouldn't mind seeing him rocking the I-was-an-extra-in-Vikings look and hacking off a few limbs at Stamford Bridge next month. I was secretly hoping Dier would still be around to do a turn there, but you can't have everything.

It's true, you get used to the idea early on that effort isn't necessary. In sport, there's also the added risk that, in spite of how much you invest, you get a serious injury or something, and then what ...?

Well, I'd agree most people can probably appreciate the idea of self-improvement and working towards a goal, but it's all relative. I'm not sure the majority would be prepared to make the sacrifices elite athletes have to. I get what you're trying to say, though.

I think the opposite -- giftedness is the easy bit, by definition. Making the most of it requires dedication and sustained effort, which is the hard part for a lot of people.
