Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I don't think it's heading for the inevitable personally. It's almost like some people can't grasp what long term means, days like yesterday have been happening at this club for as long as I've been breathing so it's a bit of wishful thinking to think a new guy is just going to eradicate this in...

    James Maddison

I agree when under the cosh he hasn't really spurred us on, but I'll ask again - who does? On this leadership group, I think Ange got that wrong especially Son as captain when he shouldn't be anywhere near a guaranteed starter and again isn't someone who particularly inspires when the chips are...

    James Maddison

I think this is unfair to put on Maddison, we are a system team so if we aren't playing well then the likelihood is most of our players aren't. Put it this way, who plays well when we aren't on top? Maddison gets us ticking which is perhaps why it's magnified with him, but I don't see many/any...

    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton - Sunday 6 October at 4.30 pm **

This 'all too familiar pattern' has existed here for absolute years, let's not pretend this is something we haven't seen pre Ange. We have all experienced this story many many times before Ange arrived. As for the subs, it's an interesting subject because you will find many coaches don't just...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

The whole manager energy on the sideline thing is a load of gonads that is just used to suit a narrative. Never gets bought up when said manager wins games, only when they suffer defeat. And conversely I've seen Conte and other managers criticised for their enthusiasm on the touchline as it...

    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton - Sunday 6 October at 4.30 pm **

Why would that concern you, it's an emotional game and he's being asked about it right after the game - of course he's going to be down, pointless trying to make out things are all rosy after that. Think you're looking for something that's not there....

    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton - Sunday 6 October at 4.30 pm **

When the fudge do we win a cup? :D As for the 10 points from first 7 games - we have played Saudi Sportswashing Machine Man U and Brighton away all of which are difficult fixtures no matter how much you want to undermine Man U we seldom win there along with the Goons at home in our first 7, we are going to have...

    Timo Werner

Werner could cost us top 4? Fudge me:rolleyes: It's a collective, if we drop points far more has gone wrong than just Werner. Yes he misses chances. So has Son, who's to say his misses won't cost us top 4? Or the fact he doesn't make runs to get the goalscoring chances Werner does in the first...

    Will Lankshear

As adamant as you are, there has been a hundred young players in my lifetime who Spurs fans have claimed are the next big thing and amount to nothing at this level. It is likely a seasons loan will still be in his best interest, it's only injuries to senior forwards that are allowing him game...

    Brennan Johnson

Whilst I agree there is room for improvement as there is in just about every player, why does he need to be involved more in the general build up? He plays his part of the system as per Anges' instructions to stay out wide and to make runs into the box when the ball is on the opposite side - he...

    Brennan Johnson

This is the thing, first season his numbers were decent if unspectacular when considering his age and fact he has joined a new and bigger club with bigger pressure on him - thought some were being overly harsh on him. This season he is well on course to improve his output, his trajectory is on...

    Richarlison

I hope that with Solanke on board and fitting in well, we don't need to rush or overuse Richi and can use him diligently and allow him to build up his fitness without having to thrust him in straight away due to a lack of options. His game is very much suited for Ange as he had began to prove...

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I'm not involved in it, I don't vote as there's no one I believe in leader wise they are all uninspiring. But it seems they have voted Labour purely for being on the Tories out bandwagon, only for them to now realise what the Labour policies are and not agree with them which is their own fault...

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I'm no Tory in fact I don't like any of them but I'm afraid that's not all that's left - Many of those I know who voted Labour due to 'Anything but Tory' are regretting it and want back to Tory already. In any walk of life there's always the theory it can't get any worse, but it always can....

    OMT *** Spurs vs – Ferencváros (A) – Thu 3 Oct 5.45pm UK / 6.45pm Budapest***

Well whether Reggie is allowed to play or not, it puts paid to the 'bad egg' rumours if he is both willing and allowed by Ange to travel with the squad for a European game.....

    OMT *** Spurs vs – Ferencváros (A) – Thu 3 Oct 5.45pm UK / 6.45pm Budapest***

I know Spence is a RB, but he is being used at LB. Against Everton he was bought on for last 20 minutes to replace Udogie, against Coventry bought on at half time to replace Udogie whilst Gray played RB, against Brentford he wasn't used at all and Gray bought on for Porro for last few minutes...

    OMT *** Spurs vs – Ferencváros (A) – Thu 3 Oct 5.45pm UK / 6.45pm Budapest***

Yes I can get that way of thinking, but then the point still stands - surely better Udogie playing Europa League (if fit) because we have noone who can be rotated in who is partiularly good at that role, where as in the league we have Spence as an option so would rather rest Udogie for that. Of...

    OMT *** Spurs vs – Ferencváros (A) – Thu 3 Oct 5.45pm UK / 6.45pm Budapest***

No Spence doesn't. As of pre season Spence was LB, and as was seen against Coventry it was Gray who was picked at RB not Spence, and Spence came on at half time as LB.....

    OMT *** Spurs vs – Ferencváros (A) – Thu 3 Oct 5.45pm UK / 6.45pm Budapest***

Why is Udogie seen as a bigger concern of losing? I'd be more concerned about Porro getting injured and having to play Gray RB than Udogie getting injured and playing Spence LB. That seems to be the bigger drop off for me, I don't see a big difference in quality if Spence has to fill in at LB...
